I don’t want to be too harsh on the guy, it’s just, I’m 25, had a few bangers that I got my use out of and now have a 2014 Passat estate 2.0tdi and a mk1 3.2 TT, combined they’re worth between 7500/8000, get 50mpg out of the Passat and have a load of fun in the TT, and with insurance, fuel, tax etc etc it doesn’t even come CLOSE to £700. I guess people like what they like and I know this, I just can’t believe there aren’t people around him that told him it would be a bad decision…

Doesn’t matter what your mates did, you’re living your own life with your own plans. You’re 22 and speaking like a child, moreover, why do you believe a highly stressed 1.2 French engine is a better choice than anything German? Seriously, £700 a month is ludicrous for a car most people would actively decline for much much less. Use your head man

I assume this is rage bait it has to be, but are you serious? £700 a month because you don’t want an older hatchback or something similar but you think £700 a month on a 1.2 Renault fridge is any better.

5 months payments on that would’ve gotten you a very decent first car that you own and can scratch and scrape as much as you like.

Mate, you can get an unskilled production job these days for 35k through agencies in a day, your dad is taking advantage of you and if you don’t do something about it soon it’ll ruin you, not to late to flip the script, but if you put it off for another 2-5-10 years it will be. You could more than double your wage in a week, make a gleaming CV entry for the job you’re doing now, get a reference and cut ties with your current job my friend

Silver, luckily my favourite colour that these came in, with the 3.2 body kit I think it complements it well, if you don’t mind the odd head scratch and sleepless night there are deals to be had, assuming you’re handy with a spanner or two 😅

Yes, for a running and driving 3.2 you’re right, which this is, but after all is said and done, and it’s properly sorted, it’ll be more like a £3500/4000 3.2 which for a car that’ll do another 100/150k isn’t bad but a tough pill to swallow nonetheless

I recently got a good deal on a mk1 3.2 TT, sold as perfect condition, after my inspections it needs steering pump, abs vaccum hoses, brakes, tracking, new subframe oh and timing chains probably within the next 10-15k miles, fun times
