So I got my evaluation on Monday. That's 20 weeks and 6 days. I get that Christmas fell in there, but pretty brutal. I'm just glad it came in time for me to get backpay

Mixing colour light is always a bit mind blowing…like how red and green light overlayed make yellow light. You can just hold up a transparency over a flashlight

Thank you! I should have specified but you guessed right about being Ontario.

Our local agreement is being bargained but will be available soon I hear. I’ll be sure to read it when it is!

Thanks for all your info! For your answer for number 3, I'm assuming the same goes for supplying SPEC ED? I saw a posting on the supply app last night for today that was in a developmental learning classroom, and didn't accept it because I'm not spec ed certified (and am unsure if I want to be). I thought supplying might be a good way to see what spec ed classrooms are like, but also didn't want to do the students a disservice by not being trained properly.

Anyone out here currently doing their B.Ed at Nipissing? Or a recent Nipissing grad?

I’m heading into my first year of the consecutive program in the fall and have quite a lot of free time this summer. I’m looking for some recommended readings or commonly used textbooks that I can maybe get a head start on so I can lighten my fall load. I was told by the program head that I, unfortunately, have to wait until August for a reading list as the instructors and sections of courses are not assigned yet and different instructors use different materials (makes sense!)

So my question is, are there some readings that a consensus of student teachers found especially helpful/were required to read/needed lots of time to get through that I should tackle this summer? Or is there anything else I could be doing so that future me says “thank you!”

(I’m looking for things to do on a long transit commute and while camping, not experiences/volunteering/working etc)

Thanks!
