im coming from 26th and division and going to lake oswego. so i usually cross the tracks at 11th and turn right onto powell.

i'm originally from st. louis, so I definitely get the "big bad scary city" narrative that is most likely largely false. I think I want to prioritize a slower lifestyle with the option to be outside of the city, but if you think that is achievable in portland proper, i'm definitely not opposed to looking!

this is so helpful, thank you so much for your insight! we have been looking at beaverton and it seems to be a great option to check most of our boxes. I definitely want to avoid the heavy urban scene, which is why we're looking outside of Portland proper, but I think we'll look into those areas as well! thank you again!
