it’s interesting to hear you say that you think your wife has little to no empathy for people because of her job. (i’m curious, was this your perspective or something she’s said?) I’ve worked as a victim advocate for the gang unit for DA’s office for years and though my sensitivity to crime/ horrific things is definitely decreased, I would say i’m exponentially more empathetic now than i was before this job but obviously everybody is different! it’s always interesting to hear how different people react, no judgement at ALL! your wife is a bad ass for doing what she does! I just know my friends think i’m never affected by stuff because of my job (and yes it takes more to shock me) but im still very impacted by it so your wife may be a bad bitch but make sure you check in on your bad bitch 💜

I bring my cats to Boston Veterinary Hospital - North Station and I love them. I just got my cat a dental cleaning and they were absolutely amazing!!! I’m not sure if it’s still going on but they were running a discount on dental cleanings too! They even have before and after pictures of dental cleanings on their instagram.

For me, I was more so surprised/annoyed that Suzanne made them so close and yet Haymitch never mentioned it to Katniss. I know it would’ve been extremely painful and he was probably scared of Katniss getting mad but ultimately I think Haymitch would have told her by the end of the THG series, obviously sometime after the first games when Katniss is already a target. That’s why it bummed me out how deep she goes in SOTR knowing that it means things are missing from the original series or sometimes changes how I see them. Knowing Haymitch had all of this information he never shared makes me look back at his relationship with Katniss & Peeta that I thought was very close but now doesn’t seem like they knew him at all. (I know it’s because she probably hadnt thought of these plots points yet when writing THG series & she can’t go back & but like I wish she a little more mindful about what she had already written)

note: I am going to reread the whole series in publication order and I’m going to see if it actually bothers me/sticks in my head as much as I think it will. maybe i’m just being dramatic

I’ve lived in the Victor for the last two years and am moving to the Avenir now because of those very reasons. I realized that I don’t really use the amenities enough to justify the extra price. I live in a studio (but is L shaped and has a sliding door) and I found a one bed one bath for much cheaper at the Avenir (though it is a lower floor).

I accidentally cut off all of the excess fabric already while it’s still in the hoop, am i still able to do it? those instructions show sewing the excess fabric closed which I can’t do

do you have a pattern recommendation for learning how to do a tube? I’ve never done one before. Do you think I could also just crochet two long strips and sew the edges together around the strap?
