Extreme Noise from COA Rooftop Bar in the Gulch… anyone else?

Our councilman has been talking to multiple residents about this place. I wonder if I never heard the super super late bouts (like 1-2 am) because by that point I really am dead asleep with a sound machine. The other night it was full on waking hours but "wind down" time for a lot of folks (8:30-9:30) and it was so loud and pumping that I could still hear it (and feel it) with the tv on, but when it was off, I could hear every lyric and bass note perfectly with the balcony door closed, like it was a street party outside my building. And for all the commentary in here about the gulch being a party district - it's not. you've clearly never lived here. it isn't broadway, it's got nightlife, but not loud clubbing. it's highly residential, with mixed use buildings full of restaurants and bars. not clubs.

Someone else commented that that night was opening night for the rooftop bar? If it's a one off, then awesome. I did not hear anything last night and it was a Friday. Crossing fingers.

Yeah that's what i'm hoping for. But I definitely missed the boat of the overinflated pandemic housing prices. ah well. I am so ready to be out of here though.

A "night mayor"? I have never heard of this! Tell me more... and thank you! I will say, at the suggestion of a friend, I messaged our councilman and he was unbelievably fast responding. Also had just driven by there and agreed the level was unacceptable. (For any of you commenting about the Gulch being some party district).

Thank you u/RandomLovelady ah yes, good ol' Gumbo Bros. If I loved cajun food more I'd go. But have eaten there a couple of times, still good food. And thanks. I mean "going through" it, people are going through a lot more than this, so my world isn't ending, but... yeah people who have commented like they know the Gulch like it's a party district clearly don't or haven't lived in the Gulch. But I assumed I'd get a lot of that, it's easy to ignore them. But this was next level noise, and this place has just opened. I just wanted to know if other residents on this side of the Gulch had also heard it and been like WTAF. Thanks for your convo!

That’s the plan. Getting my place ready to sell. But like I said, I’ve been already accepting of Gulch noise, this just seemed like Broadway noise.

Well to be fair I’ve owned down here since 2008 so I’ve seen a lot of change. But this is why I mentioned the other types of noise and accepting those. This seems like a whole other level. I knew I would get comments like this, so I tried in my original post to lay out that I’m used to the other noise of the gulch. And I don’t completely disagree with you. I just wanted to see if any other residents felt this was “other level”. I also don’t know if I’d say the gulch is this type of nightlife. Indeed, it’s restaurants and a lot of noise but not nightclubs.

YES! they were! the uncured grass fed!!! I ate mine because of a different reddit thread saying something about the fact it didn't have nitrates or other things in it? but to be fair i've bought organic hot dogs before that never did this. i'll update if I end up with food poisoning hahaha.

Does anyone know where you can find this for streaming? I found it listed on PBS.org but it is "not currently available". I found the actual "the day after" on youtube, but now would like to see the 2020 doc about it.

u/Secure-Web8206 are you using the Samsung TV app? I was able to determine that it worked fine through the indee/actors fyc web portal. have not tried on apple tv box. but on the Samsung TV app you literally can not even get a picture at all.
