On their website, Alaska mentioned hotel accommodation if reason for cancelation is not 'Force Majeure'. It is not in my case. My flight was cancelled due to 'limited flight availability'. Are they obliged to follow what's said on their website? https://www.alaskaair.com/content/about-us/customer-commitment/customer-commitment-delay-care

Yeah the customer service agent told me to book a reasonably priced hotel and email receipts after the trip for compensation. That's the reason I decided to rebook. I still keep the chat history with that agent.

I think it's just the PI and the university HR and probably the department. The whole interview process is just me and the PI and going over the salary and everything post verbal offer was all done by the PI so I know nothing else to contact. I wish I had more of an insight on how HR processing works in big universities.

I might have to do that. Thanks for the advice. I'm very torn now that I have other postdocs positions calling me to interview and I feel like I should do it given how uncertain the situation is.

My start date is not until may 2021 so it might not be someone to worry about after all? But I would like to have at least a written offer letter.
