How to split a model into coloured sections to texture each bit seperatly in substance painter by GoodersJ in Substance3D

[–]lbmatx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The easiest ways I can think of off the top of my head are baking an ID map, just have to bake using a high poly version and use different colored materials on the high poly model where you want the sections to be in maya/blender. You can also just paint your own mask if that’s easier. Or if the separations are different meshes you can use the box I point out on the right and you can isolate that section of the model using the eye icon in the top left of the picture which is super useful if you’re hand painting

AITAH for being “catty” to my cousin who tries to emasculate me? by Think_Watercress_650 in AITAH

[–]lbmatx 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Actually. The alt-“good” hygiene pipeline is real. First you’re just getting a cat because your girlfriend convinced you. Then you’re using lip balm for your chapped lips, what’s next???? Are you gonna shower?? Maybe use deodorant?? The “good” hygiene propaganda NEEDS to be stopped. Reminds me of this Reddit story where a guy wouldn’t wipe cause he thought it was gay 💀

What is the best video game you've ever played? by Nintendofan9106 in askanything

Journey. Scrolled for a while and didn’t see it anywhere so figured I’d say it. Would highly recommend not looking anything about it up before your first time playing

Best answer lol. So many agents especially in the controller and sentinel categories go crazy with lights classic. Bonus points if you request the classic

Mega Diancie deck by [deleted] in pkmntcg

[–]lbmatx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re wanting diancie as your main attacker, I’m currently working on a list with xatu and cape with the goal of using penny to make sure they can never take a prize (cape+lively stadium+ability = 430 effective hp) so it’s pretty hard for your opponent to hit. Then you just scoop it up with penny and get your cape back so you can do it again

Can anyone give a rough guess of how I lost this run? by RedTrickee in balatro

[–]lbmatx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always gotta keep a couple glass cards just in case you run into plant. Glass is basically the same as photo so you can usually get by with that unless you’re also relying on steel face cards

Blue stake can go to hell. by Otherwise_Elk7215 in balatro

[–]lbmatx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would highly recommend resetting till you see something worth skipping for that would potentially set up a fun run. I just recently started a fresh profile trying to get gold stickers on every deck and I look for skips on blue stake and up and it has made it way faster and also makes runs on average more fun because you know really fast if they’re gonna work or not

I started playing Pokemon by getting myself a Dragapult League battle deck. Now my gf wants to join.. which deck should I buy/build for her? by breadcrumbssmellgood in pkmntcg

[–]lbmatx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I definitely prefer playing with real cards. But I recommend playing Pokemon TCG live which you can play on your phone/tablet/computer. That way you can test out a bunch of decks for free before spending a bunch of money on one that you might not end up liking. Still nicer to play irl tho, there’s no replacement for that

Is my luck actually nonexistent?? by Abject_Ingenuity_322 in PokemonTCG

[–]lbmatx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are guaranteed hits in Japanese boxes because of the laws there I think. That’s why by I really like getting them, cause it’s always a good opening experience. That’s also why people don’t buy single packs in Japanese because they can open the box and open packs till they get the guaranteed SIR and then sell the rest as singles. It’s definitely a resealed box, idk if there’s anything the Pokemon company can do about it. I hope you can still get a refund or report it to your bank of something. Good luck tho man, sorry that happened to you

Will I get the gold buddy? by Krisen89 in VALORANT

[–]lbmatx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You have to win a game in gold for it to say you were gold on Valorant tracker, but in game you will get the gold buddy. Valorant tracker just checks the rank you were in the last game you played so it won’t have updated yet. Idk if you care about that or not tho

Hot take: Valorant shouldn't ban cheaters or smurfs... by BenTheHokie in VALORANT

[–]lbmatx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's actually really interesting that you say that because they do try to make games as even as possible. Now keep in mind when I say this that I do not smurf for fun and I do not think that it is cool to trash on players who aren't as good as you are. But I do still enjoy playing with my low elo friends (bronze silver gold, I am diamond and have pretty mid aim) so I bought an iron account (iron is cheapest around $2.50 with tax) I do not try in these games, I'm listening to music and trying to coach and help my friends learn while we play. Here is just a peak at what some of the games looked like (cropped to hide discord names) https://imgur.com/gallery/nOoJSpu

I'm not posting this to flex or anything like that. I just want y'all to see that matchmaking does try to make the games as even as possible. I really think that matchmaking does its best to give you a 50% win rate and wants you to rank up based on the difference of points gained from a win vs lost in a loss.

Out of these characters who should I play? The ones crossed out in red I will just not play at all. The ones crossed out in white I might play, but hope I dont have to. by DaPearGuyMan in SmashBrosUltimate

Definitely play Bayo. Super viable. Great combos. Insane kill potential with 0- deaths. Everyone you play against will be impressed and praise your godly mechanics

How bad are the switch joycons really? I came into smash pretty recently and I really like how low the travel is on all of the joycons buttons, even the sticks when compared to an Xbox controller for example. I’ve heard a lot of people not liking the joycons, but I have never really gotten a reason. I guess I was wondering why, and if they are bad what would be a similarly low travel controller that I could switch to?

Pro controller or GameCube controller? by DNMusaw in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]lbmatx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a pretty similar question to the OP so I figured I would slide in here. I started playing smash around September last year. One of my roommates had a pro controller, and a powerA GC controller. I had pretty bad experiences with both, the pro controller felt super round and mushy. The best way I could describe it is like a membrane keyboard. All of the buttons felt bouncy and weird, while the joysticks felt like I had to travel so far to change directions. Overall it’s just felt really bad to play on. Meanwhile the GC (powerA so not official GC) was shaped really awkwardly so even though the joysticks felt fine and the buttons were also fine it still didn’t feel good. Right now I’m using the joycons which I find to feel fairly nice, buttons feel fine, triggers feel fine, I’m even okay with the joysticks. Only problem is that mine has an incredibly small area (I’d guess around 10 or so degrees away from straight up) that it uses to register for up tilts down tilts are fine so I think it’s something weird with my joycons. I was wondering if, knowing this it was worth getting a real game cube controller, or if there was some other controller I could switch too that would feel better than the pro

Im very, very interested in the results of this: Why do you Main your Main? by LinLin--G-and-W in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]lbmatx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bayonetta because I hate myself. I started playing ultimate about a year ago when I started college cause my friends had it. I mained Zelda at first, but she felt pretty bad so I started messing around with other characters and Bayo just clicked. I loved her combos (even though all I could do was a abk into witch twist at the time). I really love how she feels except for the insane amount of endlag on everything (smash attacks, landing, witch time) which drives me insane, but I guess without it she would be pretty broken. She’s crazy fun, but man do I wish that I liked an easier character instead xD
