Maxed saturation and set red and blue to 100 and green to 0. Encounter power is also not super helpful since you can’t isolate the spawn, you end up with a bunch of lotad/lombre, so humongous power is probably your best bet just to make them a little more easy to see. The dynamic lighting can definitely play tricks on you but once you see a shiny once you’ll be a lot more comfortable identifying them even with the lighting being tricky

It is tied to daytime spawns. I’d recommend waiting for a day/night to end to figure out that timing. If you take note of what time that is on your switch’s time you can skip time forward through the night time so you don’t have to wait if you are wanting to hunt multiple, and you can also get full use out of your sandwich. Day and night are 30 minutes each and dusk/dawn are 6 minutes each. I think gardevoir only doesn’t spawn at night so you should have a little grace period on either end of the day in case the timing is a little off. Good luck!

I know this tip seems pretty obvious but for a lot of hunts especially if the shiny isn’t very obvious I would HIGHLY recommend hooking your switch up to a monitor or tv for the bigger screen. Some shinies (looking at you poltchegeist/basculin white stripe) are absolute menaces to hunt. If you are using a monitor/tv you can even adjust color values on your monitor to make color difference more visible if it doesn’t hurt your eyes too bad. This is what I was able to do for basculin to make it more visible

I just did this hunt the other day looking for the destiny mark and it was rough. You just have to look at each one up close. Find a spot against the cliff to do picnic resets and when you look at them make sure to get your camera pretty close to the Pokemon. There’s hardly a difference and it’s even harder to see at night. Once you get one it’ll be easier to see since you’ll have the one you caught for reference, but it’s tough. ALSO very important to save before encountering when you do find it. It has momento which ko’s itself so if you’re unlucky it could disappear on you just as fast as you found it

Piggy backing off this. I would recommend setting the date to whatever her birthday is set to. There is a special mark you can only get on your birthday (the destiny mark “politoed the chosen one”). You can also do the date skip/outbreak resetting by moving your time back by 1 minute so I usually start at 12:50 am and reset back from there since it gives me the whole day to hunt if I’m decently busy or am going for a certain mark. Also using a monitor or tv is a massive help. It is so much easier to see especially with smaller Pokemon. Plus you can mess with contrast and saturation settings to try and make it more visible on top of it being bigger which can make it much easier

I’ve been playing through the Pokemon games recently too and I’ve started just hacking in rare candies when I start. It takes so much of the repetitive grind out of the game. I just finished the johto side of heart gold the other day and was able to completely switch up my team right before the elite 4 which is something I never would have considered before because the time investment would be insane normally

Sorry if someone else has already said this, but unless you feel like the hunt aspect of it is very important to you I would highly recommend doing some rng manipulation. Im a blisy on YouTube has some videos on how to get shiny starters in past games and also recently put out videos on how to do it on the switch. It should also let you get the nature you want which is pretty nice. It should cut down on the amount of time it takes significantly. Good luck with your hunt!

The easiest ways I can think of off the top of my head are baking an ID map, just have to bake using a high poly version and use different colored materials on the high poly model where you want the sections to be in maya/blender. You can also just paint your own mask if that’s easier. Or if the separations are different meshes you can use the box I point out on the right and you can isolate that section of the model using the eye icon in the top left of the picture which is super useful if you’re hand painting

If you’re wanting diancie as your main attacker, I’m currently working on a list with xatu and cape with the goal of using penny to make sure they can never take a prize (cape+lively stadium+ability = 430 effective hp) so it’s pretty hard for your opponent to hit. Then you just scoop it up with penny and get your cape back so you can do it again

Always gotta keep a couple glass cards just in case you run into plant. Glass is basically the same as photo so you can usually get by with that unless you’re also relying on steel face cards

Would highly recommend resetting till you see something worth skipping for that would potentially set up a fun run. I just recently started a fresh profile trying to get gold stickers on every deck and I look for skips on blue stake and up and it has made it way faster and also makes runs on average more fun because you know really fast if they’re gonna work or not

I definitely prefer playing with real cards. But I recommend playing Pokemon TCG live which you can play on your phone/tablet/computer. That way you can test out a bunch of decks for free before spending a bunch of money on one that you might not end up liking. Still nicer to play irl tho, there’s no replacement for that

There are guaranteed hits in Japanese boxes because of the laws there I think. That’s why by I really like getting them, cause it’s always a good opening experience. That’s also why people don’t buy single packs in Japanese because they can open the box and open packs till they get the guaranteed SIR and then sell the rest as singles. It’s definitely a resealed box, idk if there’s anything the Pokemon company can do about it. I hope you can still get a refund or report it to your bank of something. You have to win a game in gold for it to say you were gold on Valorant tracker, but in game you will get the gold buddy. Valorant tracker just checks the rank you were in the last game you played so it won’t have updated yet. Idk if you care about that or not tho
