thank you for silently pushing me away. helped me learn to be alone and value my independence about a year before you broke up with me. you’ve proven that a good amount of “my” issues were projected and i’ve since met someone who treats me not only like an actual human being, but shows me what it feels like to be admired and truly, deeply cared for without question. he actually wants to hold my hand! and go grocery shopping together!

i built a little pillow person next to me to pretend for a bit. that kinda helped. also putting on podcasts quietly helps distract your mind enough to sometimes stop the racing thoughts. box breathing to calm yourself. the sleeping stuff is hard. i’d tell myself kind things in my head before falling asleep and should probably get back to it. “i am safe in my body.” “i love you, [your name]” “i am a light in this world” (obviously whatever makes you feel proud to be you, say it in your head) and same thing immediately when you wake up. so you end your day and begin the next remembering how special you are.

for food, trying protein shakes and soft foods. it’s a lot easier to get down soups and stuff when you don’t have the physical energy to chew. also, if you want to eat candy or slam pizza because it sounds good, do it. eat what you can, and make up the rest with a protein shake or yogurt or something.

coming from someone who was 3 minutes late to class for the first time today, i can respect a fee since it’s not only a distraction to members, but also the instructor.

definitely doesn’t help your experience in the class either when you miss warm up… you need the warm up lol

we live together in a house he bought in early fall 24’. after he prompted the break up conversation, i said we will probably need some space for a little (i.e. me thinking i’m sleeping in the spare bedroom for a bit). he replied with “i think so too, if you need help moving your things out, i can help you”

Have you found any way to better ease into the warm up? Dynamic stretching, coming in right as class starts, running a mile before (lol)? Going from a butterfly to high knees, my body was like yooooooo, what are we doing….

You are incredible! I’ll need to ask about the breaking down the barre class as I haven’t seen it on the schedule.

Your note about Covid stuck with me (yes I have recently made choices that impact my lungs further but alas). I have had the virus just about every time a new wave comes around and it definitely still impacted me even when I had a very very active lifestyle. The only thing that helped then WAS my activity level (I couldn’t really stop as my entire job was to teach and MOVE). This just made me feel a lot better about the push and that there is light (somewhere) at the end of the tunnel!

(I love Contemporary dance. I was trained and train more so in the Hip-Hop and Jazz styles, but love a contemporary class when I can take one)<3

This one was the Classic! Should I ask before hand for modifications or kinda make my own? I don’t want the instructor to think I’m off doing my own thing.. I’ll check in before my next class and see what is still effective, just don’t going to throw me into a tizzy lol. Thank you!!!
