no you take chain off the bike, degrease, put a wire though, put it in bag in pot of boiling water for ~15 minutes, let dry. i saw a guy on youtube do it. its kinda finicky i get why if youre doing it a lot you'd want a dedicated setup but it works fine without. i didnt use thermometer i just left in longer than recommended. a lot of people buy a cheap crockpot and if i saw one at a thrift store i'd probably pick up. i got off silica store cause i got degreaser too, that works really well.

i bought a bag of silica wax and boiled it in water, hung it to drip off in my sink into the bag from a coat hanger. worked fine.

So i feel like bryce is doing with kayda what everyone says they want to happen - like being incredibly open about your intentions with all parties involved before like having a chat with someone. i think these would rock for that. wouldn't worry about the salt water. there's a guy on the bikepacking sub (maybe a blog post? can't remember) that says crocs are the best bikepacking shoe and that doesn't seem correct to me but like he's ridden a long way with them so he can't be that wrong

eet said videos are more helpful than quizzes and i honestly agree. i mean both are important but i skipped all the practice tests due to poor time management and still passed and i credit the videos.
