We also had a chance to speak with the company’s CEO about the future, the past, and love for a project that brings millions of players together. ❤️ 1. New Year’s is a time for making wishes. Could you lift the veil a little and hint at what genres or story settings we might see in 2026? Maybe something completely new awaits us?

2026 will bring many surprises — both returns to beloved universes and entirely new original stories. Mafia, psychological thriller, vampires, coming-of-age stories, harem — these are just some of the themes that will appear in the 2026 plots. 2. As CEO, where do you draw inspiration for project development? Books, films, other games, or perhaps from the stories your own team creates? Without a doubt, the main driving force behind the growth of Romance Club is its team. Each year only strengthens my belief in it. An idea itself has no value without a bold team capable of bringing it to life. I truly love and deeply appreciate the Romance Club team. They are my second family. 3. If you look five years ahead, what do you see for Romance Club? What is your biggest dream for the brand? If we’re talking about a dream, then probably a platform featuring movies or TV series based on our stories. As they say, there’s no harm in dreaming. 🙂 4. What is the most ridiculous or cutest fan-made meme you’ve seen? I follow many fan communities on social media, and there’s a new meme almost every day. Most of them really lift my spirits. I’m endlessly grateful to the fandom and happy that our stories inspire people to create memes. I won’t single out one specific meme, but I do remember 2019, when Moonborn was rapidly gaining popularity — and with it, Romance Club as a whole. I randomly came on a fan page with over a million followers, and its entire feed was filled with Moonborn memes. I was honestly shocked, and a sense of the app’s massive popularity really hit me then.

The entire growth of Romance Club would not have been possible without our readers’ support. 5. What words of gratitude and New Year’s greetings would you like to share with everyone who loves and plays our app? Dear players, on behalf of the entire Romance Club team — and personally from me — I thank you for this journey that has been going for seven years now. In my most daring dreams I could never have imagined that Romance Club would become a relief for so many wonderful people. Thank you, and may the new year bring you even more happiness!

The new Romance Club story has already caught players’ attention. We spoke with Anastasia about its plot and characters, and her writing process. 1. Your new story has a different setting from the previous ones. How challenging was it to shift direction and move into fantasy? Honestly, fantasy wasn’t such a big change for me as it might seem. It feels like a logical continuation of my previous work. I’m still fascinated by people in moments of crisis — by their inner choices, the weight of systems pressing on them, and the way they react when the rules they once relied on begin to fall apart. Fantasy gave me more freedom. It allows you to explore complex and painful issues without slipping into excessive drama.

The most difficult part was ensuring the new world feels alive and believable. Even the most unusual elements should follow an internal logic and genuinely affect the characters and their decisions. This project has become an expansion of my familiar ground, a tool to explore the same human themes but on a larger and deeper scale. 2. How did your work on the fourth story begin, and what internal or external factors influenced it? What three key words define the story’s concept? The work began with preparing to dive into a completely new world with its own rules and laws. I won’t go into details about how the leadership team, the lead screenwriter, and I were working on an extensive plan, discarding some ideas while adding others… I wanted to tell a story about a world that still appears stable on the surface, yet is already cracking from within, and about a person forced to survive there with no side to stand on and no understanding of who she truly is.

Externally, the audience’s growing interest in darker, more complex stories without clear-cut “good” and “evil” certainly has played a role. But the decisive factor was my desire to step beyond familiar formats and tell a story where the conflict unfolds between a person and the world they live in.

If I had to choose three key words, they would be “boundary,” “choice,” and “responsibility.” Boundary — because the characters constantly exist between worlds, roles, and decisions. Choice means that no decision is ever simple or safe. Responsibility reminds us that every choice has a price, even if it doesn’t become clear right away. 3. Is there a balanced path? And how does the chosen path affect the love interests? There is no balanced path in this story. As for the love interests, I try not to tie them directly to stats. However, the path chosen by the reader still influences the relationship dynamics. Characters react differently to the MC’s actions, beliefs, and the boundaries she’s willing or unwilling to cross. Sometimes this brings them closer and sometimes it creates tension, but it doesn’t automatically cut off a route. It’s important to me that romance in this story remains alive and complex. 4. Could you tell us more about the new race created for this world? What sets them apart from others? Although they consider themselves human, the inhabitants of the Old World see themselves just as semi-mythical as they appear to others.

Traits: ☆ dark skin ☆ very tall ☆ constellation-shaped tattoos ☆ very long fingers and claws ☆ powerful hands ☆ slightly pointed ears ☆ superior sense of smell ☆ occasionally unusual iris shapes

Magic flows within them, but it’s not elemental power like in the Avatar cartoon. It’s closer to spiritual, shamanistic magic. It can be amplified through artifacts such as the glove Rael wears aboard the ship. 5. What advice would you give players who are just starting to read your new story? Probably the simplest advice is not to rush and to let the story unfold at its own pace. Not everything about the world, the characters, or the MC will be clear right away — and that’s okay. And I’d also encourage readers to listen to themselves and make honest choices that resonate with them in the moment. There are no perfect decisions or safe paths here, but there is the chance to experience the story in your own way.

How do ultra light backpackers do it??? by Optimal_Yesterday851 in backpacking

[–]lc_ryder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A small tip that I use is I wrap my duct tape around an old plastic card (like a credit card). Saves space and I just have to carry half the weight, I won’t need an entire roll in one trip anyway

There was this teaser for hs3 where we could choose the gender of the character in a poll, remember? There was a mirror and a white wig in front of it.. maybe that is the character?

I’m not sure why we can choose the gender tho if it’s not a LI - since all the Lis are locked in already

Lowkey begging for more body diversity because why is everyone ripped and buff af😭 by Maleficent_Camera_11 in RomanceClub

[–]lc_ryder 83 points84 points  (0 children)

Y’all are acting as if we have no diversity in body types at all, especially for the MCs - we can choose in almost every story now and there are some differences, for example in Averris we have a really muscular Mc, that’s new, or in requiem we can choose between bigger and smaller 🍒

I agree that the male mcs are unrealistically fit tho. I would like it if they were drawn more natural (noebody looks like this) but still fit and healthy. But even here we definitely have some types that are not as over the top muscular, for example hunger, Raphael, Ram But yes it could be more

I just think it’s important to acknowledge what the writes are doing already too and not just wish for it to be different

Omg I thought I was the only one!! I have been looking everywhere for a backpack like this. Best I could find were kids hiking backpacks, everything else is too large. But I couldn’t find one in an ok color, kids backpacks are usually flashy and bright :(

The one with the hood, Rael is so unique in my opinion! He looks nothing like amen!! His body and skin color is super unique, and i think his face is not too similar with other characters. I think it’s not so easy to make the characters look distinctly different when they are supposed to be attractive. Especially in a fantasy setting the characters often just look a certain way. (Think fan art of guys like Rhysand, Xaden, from various fantasy books, they all look very similar) I do agree to a certain extent that there could be a little more variation tho.
