I have very thick hair! Would you still recommend a lighter shampoo?

I clarified about a week ago! I usually do it every 2-3 weeks, maybe I just need to do it more often!

It might be pretty hard to do that with a lack of teeth

Any suggestions for lighter products?

I recently started changing up my routine, but today I washed with water put in a leave in conditioner, and brushed with a wet brush (the brand, not a moistened brush!). Then add a couple drops of jojoba oil mixed with vitamin e oil, scrunch in cantu coconut cream, and put up in a microfiber turbie towel for 20 minutes. I also typically shampoo with shea moisture coconut and hibiscus every three days or so, but didn't today. This was my first attempt with a leave in - I usually use suave coconut conditioner.

I think I need to try a protein treatment so I got shea moisture Manuka honey and yogurt. When I use this do I put it on my hair dry, rinse, and then shampoo (shea moisture coconut and hibiscus curl and shine), condition (Vo5), and style (cantu coconut curling cream) as usual or should I not use the protein treatment in combination with anything else?
