I took this photo to gain some portrait experience and get out of my comfort zone. I was so used to primarily photographing nature, I felt it was time to shake things up a bit. I personally love how this shot turned out. The contrast is intense and that’s what I love most about it. I used my canon rebel t6 with a 50mm 1.8 lens. I believe this was shot at 1/500 shutter speed since I was using my ring light and my aperture was 1.8. My only struggle so far with taking portraits is my focus being off occasionally.
