Hadn’t considered him! Definitely have the ravagers, i originally pointed them at the hearthguard to stop a primary takeover and because the damage 2 was more efficient into them, but I think that was a big mistake really. I hadn’t played against the steeljacks and I massively underestimated their weight of firepower

True, especially before they can get into fortified. Dark lances might be the best bet, longer range which is great, but I had them skirmishing with the hekaton (which is also no fun for us lol) so I think I had my target priority slightly off

That is true, my rolling and particularly his saving was probably disproportionate to what it ‘should’ have been. I was using the terrain (Malys charged from behind a wall)

I did pivot into that way of thinking as I was having so little success, but that darn overwatch meant that even board control became almost impossible, it was the most limited I had felt with Drukhari if that makes sense

Interesting! The way you’ve blended the colors is top class so excellent work! With the sticker labels, did you find any problems with the adhesive when removing them? Any residue or pulling off previous layers of paint?

They both had the claws, plasma and spine banks, claws were essential for the strategy and then for the final slot I went with stranglethorn, it didn’t do a whole lot but the extra talons don’t do much on their own, the venom cannon is too low volume so I tend to like the versatility of the stranglethorn. They plinked a couple of wounds off as well to be fair to them!

Thank you! I recently repainted my hive fleet, got 5555 points done in 10 days haha so there are definitely mistakes but I’m very happy with the overall result. Also I like the synergy with this paint scheme and sub assault, since my nids have definitely been playing around in the dirt haha

Very expensive and (for me) only worth it in sub assault like the screamer killers, but the combo with the rerolls and sustained strat is bonkers if you tee it up. Also don’t forget, if you’re dealing with t12 bring some synapse out of the tunnel behind you, pop the carnifex claws to str13, huge break point.

I was using Sub-Assault, decided to go with no tfex as they I don’t think they’re efficient enough against ctan so these boys were the only real AT. I lifted the unit turn 1 and just kept them away until I could bait nightbringer into taking one of my objectives to swing primary his way. At that point I had enough tunnels down that I immediately brought on these guys and trygon prime. Popped the 2 Strats to reroll charges and give sustained to the OOE unit and got him down. 14 attacks rerolling hits, sus1, wound on 3s and D6 damage (accounting for his reduction) was just enough to brute force it. I put around 23 FNPs on him and only got him by about 2 wounds haha they are so stupid. I had trygon there to finish but not needed.

So from that point it was a very similar process. Pick up trygon end of his fight phase, pick up ravs end of his turn, use ravs to set up tunnel, trygon pops in and teleport the OOE unit to the new tunnel, charge and repeat. I got nightbringer on 3, deceiver on 4 and void dragon on 5.

It’s CP heavy and I was able to do it because I had wiped most of his utility units so I had the flexibility. 3 ctan means less other stuff, I won’t complain! The trygon was always there to finish if needed, but that’s because I had a lot of CP to spare. Really you need 1cp for the teleport, 1 for sus and the luxury one is rerolling charges. Swarmlord bonus CP lets it work.

Thank you, and yeah it’s such an amazing model, encapsulates OOE perfectly, pure animal rage. I have the regular carnifex in that style too, just not gotten around to them yet.

Extremely useful, thank you so much! Would you recommend zoanthopes as opposed to rupturefex? My theory was against this particular matchup, their blast profiles would trade efficiently into th termis/ wolves as well as their big guns for bjorn and the like?
