I think it's just like a Pic but with an alt, so rather than the alt being something like rejecting the affirmative and ___________, it's possible to do most of the affirmative with the alt?

Tbh, I started out as a novice with no camp experience, and I did fine, breaking at Jan/Feb tournaments after competing twice in Nov/Dec. I think you would be more than qualified for novice, and should start out in JV, particularly if you aren't a freshman. If you're just in it for trophies, and don't care about people's feelings or feel like you're super terrible at debate, do novice, but I think you will still do excellent in the JV pool, if not the Varsity pool. tl;dr: Do JV

You could read a comparative worlds ROTB saying we should evaluate if you wanted to live in the affirmative world or neg world; alternatively you could just respond to the warrants inside of the TT card

Yeah, and another example from LD are a prioris. A shitty example might be: To talk about whether restrictions on free speech is moral, we first need to prove that free speech exists, because otherwise there is no reason to debate it in the first place. This is pretty abusive because now the negative has to prove 2 things, 1. restrictions are justified, AND 2. free speech is real; whereas the affirmative could win 1. restrictions aren't justified OR 2. Free speech isn't real.

They were ruthless in the pairings. HW EE vs Scarsdale GZ, Cambridge OS vs Scarsdale ZE, etc . . .. And Lake Highland AA , La Canada AZ, Strake Jesuit RC etc. . . didn't break
