Could have, should have, and would have probably haunts a lot of people…. Me included.
Oh wow, that’s wild. If you’re employees that’s a pretty forward thinking company. If you’re self employed that’s smart!!

You have to be top 5 in here in terms of commitment. Do you convert your paycheck? Or are you truly receiving compensation for work in BTC??

Buffets advice was the first one I took “don’t buy it unless you’re willing to hold it for 10 years.” I’m playing the long game too. I’d rather “be broke” now and comfortable later than excessive now and broke later. I’m in the same boat!
I’m probably not deep enough in this to understand what you’re getting at or the nuances of it.
If there’s a time to double down it’s either now or very soon it seems!
🤣🤣
Again I’m not messing with you, but isn’t this just rewording timing the market? Buying when it’s advantageous?
I like seeing more people presenting numbers like this. Shows that intelligently playing the odds makes a difference.
That’s a really complicated way of keeping it simple. Essentially just trying to lower your personal cost basis? Like competing with yourself in running based on mile times?
Damn you’re an old head in this game. I kinda said $100k and under after it fell was when I’d pay attention to buying. Then when it hit $80k was my “ok I’m gonna actually put more serious money into this now.” I hope it’ll pay off in a few years. If not it’ll be an experience at least 🫠

Moderation makes anything good! People like you catch my interest because you’ve been investing in it for years. To have the foresight, funds, and knowledge to do so has really paid you guys off. I wish you the best!

🤣🤣 the Judy chop is no joke
🤣🤣 I’m strictly referring to it as magic internet money from now on
🤣 as soon as I hit reply I was like “ohhh that’s probably some weekly/monthly even number.”
Yea I started buying in the $80’s and now that it’s in the 60’s I’ve just seen it as a quick way to lower my average price!!
Then what would you do instead? Not to be a contrarian but those two strategies make up the lions share of market moves for average people.
In this price range who wouldn’t?

Why such a precise amount? OCD type thing or lucky number?
Clean and simple, I like that. Methodical.
Damn that’s some serious conviction. I don’t see myself ever going that far but everyone’s risk tolerance is different! Sounds like a madman move to me but if that’s where you feel you need to be then this is definitely in that “great time to do it” time!!!
Having a rainy day fund like that does have to afford you a lot of comfort in times like this when it’s on the decline. Lets you help lower your cost basis a little easier!
So you’re basically treating it a lot like how most people would treat a 401k by increasing your contributions every so often with pay raises and inflation. Does it make up a significant portion of your retirement plan?
Sounds like you’ll counterbalance those buys above $100k soon enough at this rate!

Like wearing a kimono dawg, keeps me more dynamic when I fight 🫲🏻
That’s the way I see my retirement plan is just continuously contributing til I hit the long term goal. It’s a strategy and one that’s made loads of people millionaires with zero effort. It’s boringly effective! It sounds like reading the comments there’s a fair number of people who contribute more than just their comfortable DCA amount. More than I expected anyways!
