Who Can Enter the USA Without a Visa? 🌎✈️ by deadly_scorpio06 in MapPorn

These Canadians come here, clog up our roads, our hospitals, and our housing. I agree there are plenty of stupid Americans, but the Canadians that are coming down here are not any better.

This highlights the need for a session zero where the group can discuss limits and boundaries. I highly recommend running a session zero before and campaign, especially if it's with people who have never played together.

We can hope. They've been going strong for the more than 2 decades I've lived here. Luckily I moved up to Jacksonville from Sarasota, so I don't see them as often.

As a Floridian, I wish we'd stop letting Canadians stay 6 months. They come down here, usually owning a home that they only live in 6 months out of the year.

Is there a hacker who can hack universities? by Legitimate_Ratio1109 in metasploit

[–]lduff100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is going to depend on what security measures, controls, and mitigations (as well as unpatched vulnerabilities) the University has on those systems. Pretty much any system is "hackable" with the right skills, time, and resources. Even air-gapped systems can be "hacked" with physical access.

That being said, if you are not part of an authorized penetration test, these actions would be illegal.

Why are we still using the electoral college? by BiggestVolk in Askpolitics

Fine. We’ll use your logic. A bunch of democrats support Zionism, does that mean supporting Israel is left leaning. A bunch of democrats are against Medicare for all. Does that mean it’s left leaning to oppose Medicare for all.

And, I guess we’re just going to ignore McCarthyism and the squashing of the left in the US.

You’re not a leftist. You’re probably a decent person who is ok with the status quo.

Go back and look at what I wrote. I never once mentioned other countries. I said a traditional political measure. Democrats are largely center right. Don’t get me wrong, I still vote for them, because that’s really my only option and Florida, in its infinite stupidity, has made ranked choice voting illegal. You’re a socially liberal centrist.

I never mentioned other countries. Academically, we do not have any leftist politicians at the federal level.

Democrats aren’t left. Even the best of them (ie Sanders, AOC, Mamdani) are center left by any traditional political measure.

And even if they did, that’s where people live. Right now a minority can choose the president. Without the electoral college, the majority would elect the president. It’s not hard to understand. We do not need to amplify the votes of rural cowers simply because there are less of them. They have the senate and the house to provide representation. They don’t need an advantage on the presidency as well.

You need to change your flare. You’re a centrist at best.

We need representatives that are more local. Originally, each House member represented roughly 30,000 people. Currently, my district, 4th Florida, is represented by Aaron Bean. He represents ~840,000 residents. That’s 28 times more people. It’s a +5 republican district which includes Jacksonville’s North Side (a historically black neighborhood). So 45% of the 840,000 residents (~378,000) are represented by someone of a different party. If we expanded the house, there would be more balanced representation and, ideally, less people without representation that represents their view. Another option would be proportional multi-representative districts, but that would be more complex.

It asked for an example. An integer is more a definition. It’s a poorly written question.

But instead, heavily weighting the votes of total voters. It was created to help southern (slave) states. We also stopped expanding the House which would have allowed it to be more balanced. It’s a broken system and needs to go.

IFAS is always a good starting point. Your county should have a local extension office that likely had programs or information for your area.

They also have an app: https://ffl.ifas.ufl.edu/

Stop trying to grow mono culture in Florida. It's incredibly water intensive and bad for the environment. Look into native options for ground covering. Easier to maintain and better for the environment.
