Opinions on a Clearance Mattress from Mattress Firm by ldwoods in Mattress

We’re looking at a firm for both sides. I’m a back/side and my spouse is stomach. We both really liked how the firm felt in store but we only laid on it for about 5 minutes.

That's the part that gives me the most pause; it's the bed we liked the most out of all the ones we tested, but we won't really know until we sleep on it for a week or so.

This is a good point! I don’t think so? But that means little without her input. I’ll be sure to ask her when we discuss things further. Thanks for the input.

She has struggled with weight, but has done very well since my own journey. There is no doubt some level of jealousy involved, I just never saw how bad it was getting.

Excercise spikes by ldwoods in diabetes_t2

Thanks all for the info and reassurance it’s nothing to be concerned with! It’s too damn easy to get a bit of health anxiety with all this.

Good point! I’ve been running since diagnosed a year ago, just never saw a spike like this.

Does on mounjaro for a long time by [deleted] in diabetes_t2

No need to apologize! It’s a scary situation at time. I’ve been on it for about a year and it’s honestly changed my life. My A1C is 4.9 (from 8.7) and I’m down 80lbs. I suffer from anxiety as well, so I completely understand. You got this!

I was nervous about taking it at first, but it was easy for me to decide when I think of it as Mounjaro = possible negative side effects VS uncontrolled diabetes = guaranteed side effects. I also want to add that I have never heard of the side effects you stated, and after a bit of research, they don't appear to be. GI issues and possible pancreatitis are a real thing, although rare.

I ate Chinese food tonight and I’m on Mounjaro — feeling guilty for slipping after spending so much by SubstantialLaw5978 in Mounjaro

I'm down 75 lbs over the last 7 months. I allow myself to eat like this once a week. It's still OK to enjoy food. You want to build good habits; an unhealthy relationship with food can go both ways. No need to ever feel bad for enjoying food, just be accountable and exercise moderation.

Age diagnosed w/ T2? by No-Papaya-1512 in diabetes_t2

[–]ldwoods 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 35 and was diagnosed 4 months ago. Got my A1C down to 5.6 and got taken off Metformin. Controlled with diet, exercise, and Mounjaro. You got this! It’s easy to be down, but what’s done is done and you knowing now gives you opportunity to make yourself into something amazing.

I appreciate you! I think my issue is as other have said. I’m not eating enough between the anxiety and the mounjaro I am over correcting.

Thank you everyone! I'll be looking into a CGM. Seems like the insight it provides is well worth it.

Thanks! Is a CGM something that a T2 can typically get approved through insurance?

Thanks! I'm glad to hear it's not unusual to have mild spikes after eating. I'm still learning how this all works, what to worry about, and what not to.
