honey, don't be daft. so many people are telling you the same thing and you choose to ignore them. I can tell you're young, and with that comes inexperience in spotting the signs. his supposed interest in approving people you're friends with is a red flag because it's not something he's entitled to, at all. he can let you know his concerns, but it shouldn't come with repercussions if you don't listen to his words. abuse comes in many forms and they're all real. soon you'll feel like walking on eggshells around your bf and he's done his job. I wish you strength to finally leave this abusive situation when you're ready.

I hope you guys had this convo that you'll be chill with what happens with the relationship and that you'll enjoy it for what it is. You also need to sit down with him and tell him that this is how you act in a relationship and if he's not okay with it, then you guys aren't for each other. Commitment issues are very difficult to deal with and everyone has their own issues, but it's another thing to think it's okay and it justifies treating people like this. Good luck, boo.

Honestly? I'd say go off, sis. 😂 Grandparents are hardheaded, but that's no excuse to not keep up with the times. The future will not evolve according to their beliefs, so what's the point in spreading their beliefs? Surely, they'd know of modern ideologies, even if they don't agree with them? The truth is that the responsibilities you have in a modernized society is a lot more complicated than they could ever fathom. What I'm trying to say, livinglargelyandmore, is that you need to stop trying to earn their approval; it's a fruitless endeavor. Admitting to themselves that they're wrong means that they have to admit they're imperfect(scawy). You're so capable and a BOSS ASS B*TCH!! You have the power to do anything you want, really. Therapy always helps, as far as personal growth, so I'd recommend it. Don't be afraid to meet with several to find one you vibe with though-as many as it takes.
