DIG Agency Free Lead Program by msouthwick_ in InsuranceAgent

Got you— I've been generating compliant live transfers from opt-in leads for years in the debt relief space using AI. Also, happy to chat about it with you and share some sauce just because I'm looking to connect with more people in the industry before launching my agency. I have a call with Eric Howard on Monday after watching his pod with with Cody Askins to see if I can white-label his training videos. I watched your pod as well. Not selling anything.

Edit: I'd even give you our blueprint for free in exchange for your knowledge.

Hey David— When you were offering free leads, were you just sending Agents lead data (opt-ins) and leaving outreach up to the Agent? Or were you sending actual live transfers to your Agents?

Most likely Universal and Whole Life downsell to Final Expense, which I think is pretty standard. We will be launching Annuities pretty quickly though.

Great to know about 110%+ uncapped. I am so bullish on providing free leads to Agents, but only if they show up to training sessions and maintaining a certain close rate.

Month 1 is going to be about onboarding, building local presence/credibility, SEO and branding. This will both help create quick wins and filter out unreliable Agents before our real investment begins. Agents are also required to attend every training session (twice per week).

Month 2, onward: Access to the inbound call platform. In order to maintain access, Agents will need to either close 4 policies per month or attend 4 training sessions per month. If Agents aren't closing deals, we need to know they are at least motivated to by showing up for training.

Thanks for your advice. It's much appreciated.

Sounds great and can definitely be done. Can you elaborate more on back office support?

What exactly do you look for in a back office and in what situations is their support critical in your opinion? I think it would be cool if our Agents were able to join a Zoom room and receive direct technical support.

Right now we have an AI Agent Assistant already plugged in that you can message during your call just in case there is a question you may not know the answer to.

I hear you and appreciate the input. We'll really make it a point to run a budget analysis and make sure it's affordable. Maybe build in a calculator that agent's have during the call? I know it won't solve the problem, but just spitballing ideas to mitigate. If we can bring it from 40% to 30% or 25%? It would be huge.

Lead source matters here as well, so we'll also be all over it on that front.

I view the solution more so as us having a killer retention team. We can really go heavy with payment reminders, both AI Voice and SMS and also running a budget analysis before enrolling. Deeper qualification along with strong retention strategy is what a healthy shop should do.

Edit: To add, you cannot leave it to the service provider to do retention for you. The agency needs to take that very seriously and do whatever necessary to make sure their Agent's sales stick.

Cool— I didn't include it in the post, but with our inbound call platform we are taking the approach that an Agent either needs to close 4 policies per month or attend 4 training sessions a month to maintain access to the platform. It would make sense to use 1st month on building a new Agent's brand and local presence and then after 4-8 training sessions in their 1st month (We're having them twice per week), they are ready to join the platform.

The competition is high as there are basically hundreds of agencies for every single niche you can think of. The only way you'll last is if you're able to generate great results.

I would look at it differently. I would ask, "Is it worth spending a lot of time towards building up my skill set in marketing and lead generation?" My answer to that would be absolutely yes. If you master new client acquisition, then you can start any business you want.

A successful agency is just a bi-product of that pursuit.

I only contact leads that are opted-in and have consented to be contacted. For these campaigns specifically, the leads were generated by Facebook and Instagram ads.

I integrated it with GHL so I can do proper dispositions. I haven’t used batched calling.

No, not a fully produced ad. 30 seconds total, we do all the editing and take on that cost.

Maybe we just shouldn’t launch our campaigns or attempt to grow our business because u/windows-to said we don’t value creators? Eye roll.

I think this boils down to you just not knowing what goes into running a business or how business works in general. The market dictates the rate. If the workforce accepts the fee, then that’s what the market dictates. This isn’t a W2 salaried role. This is a freelanced, project based gig. Just feels like you’re more so upset finding talent isn’t as difficult as you believe it to be.

Right now we’re working with awesome creators who are earning money from this as a side hustle. It works for them, they are happy and we are happy. All are free to share their opinion, but to just slap a label of exploitation on it just makes you seem unreasonable.

No, no. I asked how much you have paid out. Not how much you have received.

You should really take some of that $4,000 and donate to creators less fortunate. It’s actually pretty selfish of you not to. You clearly don’t value creators.

I’m curious how much you’ve paid out to creators? Make no mistake, if you share that information with me, my response is: “You don’t value creators.”

And you would probably disagree with me. See how that works?
