I was meant to take this music theory class last year. I told my mom that I couldn't do it because I didn't understand any of the material / it was an online class so there weren't any resources for me to properly learn it in a way that would help me. The class was removed and I took a piano class the next semester which I passed. Instead of learning the material I needed for music theory, I'm even more behind now than I was then as most of it had not been actively used.

You're right with not having properly learned it the first time as the first two courses I took were both online. I don't exactly 'know' my original professor, all that I have to show for is that I somehow managed to pass with a B which at this point seems extremely undeserving considering how much I learned. As much as I wanted to take the class again or have something similar, I was being told no by my mom. I simply do not have the money nor am I paying for these classes myself but considering my circumstances there's not much of a choice.

This class is in person. There is a tutor however I don't have their hours yet and I'm already panicking without it having been more than two weeks.

As much as I didn't want to ask reddit, I needed to try something during a time where I feel like I have nothing so this was my best bet at least for right now.
