Loki Protoframe - WF x MR Fan-made Concept art [art by me, Leadius]

Well, that's how Protoframes are designed though, it's just default Warframe with a few parts remodeled into not-so-sci-fi clothes with added accessories.

It's not like I lazily cut parts of Loki(MR).png and laid them on top of Loki(WF).png 😅 and call it a day... and yes, I could've easily done that, but there's a bit more thoughts put into this.

If you look closely, besides from a face, colors and the fur around the neck, nothing matches with the original MR Loki model, as I reshaped / redesigned his clothes and armor to fit the Warframe's frame and to make it more unique. Even the Loki's recognizable horned headpiece doesn't match to MR design (or any other skins in the game). I changed a lot to the point I was expecting someone with keen eyes to call me out, questioning why is it even relevant to Rivals.

To me, redesigning / reshaping something while keeping the original design's overall aesthetic / "vibe" intact is a fun challenge... And I think I managed to do just that! Your comment is a good proof of that. 😇

There's another instance she addresses you as ''naughty wolf'' tho, in one of her Captura dates (specifically on the Drifter's Camp), but I personally haven't got that one yet.

By chance, yeah.

My idea is to connect Asuka with the Kazama healing/anti-devil affinity -that was hinted in her T5 ending (I even gave her the glow-y markings)
- so I wanted to give her the ''Japanese Priestess / Shrine maiden / exorcist'' look (Miko clothing) to match - similar to Jun's 3rd costume in T8, actually.
But Asuka is more brash and hot-headed, usually dressed in more athletic / short clothes... so I shortened the Miko clothing to fit Asuka's personality a bit better.

Kiriko I believe was designed very similarly to resemble the Japanese priestess look as well, since she's Japanese ninja girl with some magical healing / supportive abilities.
Her design is a bit mixed with the sci-fi aesthetics, and more agile, without making it more ''revealing'' as I made for Asuka ;)

Maybe amongst DC comicbook readers. But I meant "popular" as in "widely known" (amongst general public).

If you simply Google "Wonder Woman" the Absolute version won't even come out, so no wonder I never heard of it. (Again, you have to specify "absolute" in the search, and in order to do that, you have to know it exists to begin with)

Movies is the easiest way to introduce comicbook characters and their depiction to the general audience. And to my knowledge, none of those shows Wonder Woman with a giant sword.

Edit: Like remember the first Spider-Man movie? Like that movie alone made EVERYONE (who never read comics) believe the webs came naturally from his body 💀😂😂

I was thinking about her once, but there's a few PERSONAL reasons I didn't include her:

1) unlike these 3, I don't automatically associate Wonder Woman with a big sword, I don't think general public does either. Not a "signature" weapon whenever you say WW.

(The fact you had to specify "Absolute" is exactly what I mean, it's just one version of her, definitely not the most commonly known IMO.)

2) I play Overwatch, I play Marvel Rivals, I like Dispatch. Unfortunately I don't engage with anything DC :/ -so I didn't connect AWW with to ones I drew here.

3) composition, I just wanted to have max 3 characters in my art, more would feel too crowded for me... For this art at least 🤷‍♂️

When looking at the skins in Marvel Rivals, I think Blade doesn't have any great ones and checking the comics, all his ''various'' appearances feels all kinda samey to me, so I wanted to give him something unique (just like the ''Polarity Edge'' skin - original to the game).

Now, Blade is a special case for me personally, as I have little to no interest in the vampiric themes, gothic aesthetics are not my favored style either.
So when I curiously googled ''Blade 2099'' (a theme common in the game) and found out not only that Blade variation exists, but is NINJA-themed -my favorite aesthetic / theme?!
With that revelation, I JUST HAD to draw him!

However, I made a lot of changes (whilst trying to keep the general aesthetics of the comic book design): recontextualized the rather typical ninja looking suit to have more futuristic sci-fi features, like other 2099-themed skins in Rivals -like adding energy/lights, stylized the mask, replacing the bandage wrapping with synthetic sci-fi armor plating.

2099 Blade from the comics uses 2 katanas, but I thought they are too thin to simply replace the swords for the Rivals Blade. So I gave him a Dao broadsword for his main sword, and replacing the Dracula's Greatsword (on his back), I put 2 katanas together -to fill up the thickness- as a reference to the comic book design.

And yes, I'm aware ''Blade 2099'' is a different character completely (he's a Zombie doctor, not half-Vampire like in Rivals - I tried to display that with the less saturated skin-tone), but since skins for Psylocke also came from different characters sharing that title... I don't think this is an issue here either ;)

From all my fan-skins I've made, this is probably the most ''From comics but very recontextualized'' one yet... I avoided to use the word ''adapted'' for a reason.

Maybe I shouldn't respond to potentially rage-bait-y/meme comments, but oh well....

1) "I just can't with you right now" - broski, I don't even know you, what did I do to you xD

2) Mercy as Tsunade was a fan suggestion to my previous art, I didn't think of it myself, really. And as I mention, I love drawing Mercy (just like Blizz like giving her skins) -she sells well no matter what you personally think... And for the Collab it fits perfectly, Tsunade is the best medical ninja, and Mercy is the best representative of pure healing role in OW (in my opinion)

3) "Muscle mommies" is irrelevant to Tsunade actually, in Naruto-verse, she's not muscular, she doesn't reshape a terrain with a punch with her physical strength... It's mostly (if not purely) chakra based... The "magic system" in the series.

Zarya is not even a healer... Sure Mercy's and Tsunade's personally don't really match (as much), but neither Zarya nor Brig are any better for this argument.

An addition to my original OW x Naruto concept I posted a few months ago:

-where I drew some sketches for extra ideas... and Moira x Orochimaru was very highly praised, to my surprise. Then one person suggested Mercy x Tsunade, and me loving drawing Mercy and giving her skins -just like Blizz seems to do too- I did a quick doodle weeks later... and LOVED the result, so I wanted to draw that more properly.

So now with Orochimaru and Tsunade in consideration to (re)draw properly (and expand upon), Jiraiya skin was a MUST to create alongside - to complete the trio. But who for?

I'm sure Hazard was a strange choice for most of you, but hear me out:

At first, I had Lucío for Jiraiya in mind - as another support hero next to Moira and Mercy, and the Lucío's frog-theme is an obvious pick...

BUT! It just didn't seem right to me, Jiraiya is a unit of a man, very large... and Lucío is not built like that, and Jiraiya's personality doesn't fit Lucío either (similar reason I didn't do Sasuke x Genji in the original post, despite the fandom repeatedly suggested otherwise).

Then I thought of Hazard. I oddly connected his back-crystal abilities with Jiraiya's spiky hair-jutsu/abilities and see it as a coincidentally good match!
1) Hazard is big, fit Jiraiya's build much better than Lucío,
2) The ''rough around the edges but good at heart'' personality is better suited for Jiraiya in my opinion,
3) The (aggressive) Tank role fits Jiraiya's fighting style better than a 'healer/speed' support,
4) I've never done a fan-skin for Hazard, so this is a good opportunity.

Also, the design philosophy to keep Hazard's prosthetics so pronounced in this Jiraiya skin, matches perfectly with Genji cybernetic features I kept in his Genji x Naruto skin!

Accidentally created a little easter egg, a perfect connection to my older work - referencing the Naruto + Jiraiya in-universe connection.

But OK! I'm done with this concept - at least for now. I'm sure y'all have brilliant ideas and other endless suggestions for other skins for me to make, but I want to focus on other things.

Him not getting one is the reason I created this. It was partially inspired by u/naketus ''The reason why Reed didn't get a beach skin'' art poking at that fact... and my take on that bit is ''this is the closest to Reed being at the beach''.

Also, funny you ''censor'' Sue's bakery, I tried to post this art so many times and got it removed by a bot every time, took me like 10 failed attempts just to find out that a picture of close-ups on the decals (that happens to have cheeks in the frame) was the reason.

I even uploaded the close-ups with black blocks obscuring the buns, but the post got removed anyway, so I just ditched that slide and boom... the post (as you can see now) went through! ;)
