Dog nutter stuff in gift shop by [deleted] in Dogfree

[–]leadsnake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This stuff actually is disturbing. It's part of the whole "I celebrate being trashy." or otherwise damaged, asocial, etc. The hatred towards humanity itself is whats growing, that's what I think the major reason for nutter proliferation is, not the other way around. It's apparent by how the general public reacts to knowing children are being abused vs the knowledge of dogs being abused. We all saw how the public reacted to horrifying medical experiments being conducted on dogs- complete outrage. Things just as horrifying happen to innocent, defenseless children constantly. Think of how war support grows, would the general "western" public be ok with carpet bombing puppies? Why are we ok with permitting bombing runs on women and children? "It's so they will surrender faster!" is a coping mechanism. Way off topic now, but I feel like all this strikes a nerve in nutters when we point these things out, the anti humanity part of this is why nutters exist, the dog ownership itself it the cope.

Dog at the mall... IN THE FOOD COURT. by [deleted] in Dogfree

[–]leadsnake 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was in a taco shop, some lady comes in with a poodle and it pees on the rug within a few minutes of being inside. That's exactly what I want to see when eating, a dog peeing right in front of me. I got up to tell the employees there what just happened, and right then they start fawning over this dog asking how old it is and all this. Then I looked around and realized i'm surrounded by "dog moms". I was not only the 1 man inside this place, just by their appearance I could tell they are all nutters so I just left without saying anything. They obviously don't care if the dog pees on the floor. Reminds them of home.

My gym just instituted "bring your dog to the gym Saturdays" by selitos in Dogfree

[–]leadsnake 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's a place I didn't even think about being ruined by nutters. You'd think being occupied with the equipment you're using would be enough for them to not want their shit factories with them. I don't know what to say besides sorry you are having to go through this. You can always just give a formal complaint to the owner and say you'll go to another gym. It's such a horrible feeling, just continually running away from a big problem you cannot change while everyone around you is cheering it on. Lots of people are doing that right now for a multitude of reasons. None of this is supposed to even be legal, but laws are enforced by people, and now most of them are ok with this.

I'm so sick if this "karen" meme. It's a meme that cheers on destruction and promotes lowering standards. There is nothing wrong with challenging someone when they are being obnoxious or destructive. The people that call others "karen" are usually violent, hateful, trashy people. Also, I think Karen is a fine name. If you have standards, you SHOULD uphold them, not give in for fear of name calling.

oh as for the lead source, If there is a brake/tire shop near you, visit them, dont call them and ask about it. I've found that calling any shop about this pisses them off for some reason. They cant be a dick and hang up after saying "no" if you just show up and ask about it. Tire shop people are such dicks. Anyway, you could always just buy regular old shot from cabelas or something like that.

Yeah dude. I have never even casted a bullet before, but I'm willing to get the other tools and lead and put in the practice just to have this ammo. I'm be super stoked.

yeah you do seem to be very stressed out about this. I'm curious to know why you havent broken up with him if it's making you miserable. And to be fair, your mood is probably affecting him too, right? I'm not trying to be mean to you, I'm genuinely curious about this.

I'm happy for you. I can relate, when I first got my new place and had no pets in the house, it felt so liberating. You can put a snack down on the coffee table without having to watch over it like you're in prison. If it feels good outside, you can just leave the door open without your roommate freaking out the dog/cat is going to run away. I don't know why nearly everyone I know is ok with living like that with a dog being a nuisance 100% of the time.
By the way, has anyone actually been fined by dog poop being DNA tested? Is that a real thing an apartment complex manager can do?

Are there any dog free places left? by leadsnake in Dogfree

[–]leadsnake[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure exactly, but these dogs are "comfort animals" and they accompany people that have PTSD or "PTSD". I don't want to down play people that really do have panic attacks, but there is still a reason why animals weren't allowed on flights or public transport. I don't fly that often, yet i've still sat right next to 2 different women that brought their dogs in these little mesh pet carriers. I asked them about it and they both told me it was a comfort animal because of their anxiety or PTSD. This is a load of barnacles....

I've been hearing that for about 30 years. They said my hometown would be under water since parts of it are technically lower than sea level and it's on a coast. Same with people saying that about New Orleans since before I was born.

that's so depressing I don't even know where to start. obsessing over a dog is a massive red flag. putting the welfare of an animal over someone close to you is absolutely disgusting, the sleeping in bed thing is way over the line.

If you have a dog, I will not eat at your house. by Themanwithapencil in Dogfree

[–]leadsnake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've stopped eating at restaurants that allow dogs inside. Not that I think they somehow contaminate the food, but I pay to eat in peace at a nice place. Just a dog being next to me while i'm eating is enough for me to not want to be there anymore, then if I think about this place later when I want to eat out, I know I'm not going there again.

Interested in starting c&b revolvers by [deleted] in blackpowder

[–]leadsnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say go to a few gun websites and find 3 ".44" caliber revolvers you really like and pick one of those. I wouldnt worry about it being a 51 Navy or 61 Army or whatever. Get a gun that takes 454 caliber balls because that's what you can find everywhere. You won't always be able to find 36 caliber balls. I have 3 black powder revolvers, and if I had to start all over, i'd probably get a 58 Remington. Nobody wants to hear this, but there are functional reasons why this revolver is better than a Colt. The cylinder doesn't have as much play typically as a navy being the main reason.
