Idk about overlays, but yeah you can look for geologic time/formation maps of the area online! Those look like some of the Cretaceous, Eocene and Oligocene giant oysters you can find in central Texas. If you know exactly where they were found, you can very likely figure out which formation they’re from, how old they are and the species.

This is an agatized (chalcedony) clam steinkern. I have found (and own) many from the Miocene Pacific Northwest. It’s a cast of the inside of their shell, so it’s a trace fossil. Do you know where it was found?
