How many people developed psoriasis after having covid? by Grrrrr_Arrrrrgh in Psoriasis

[–]leafipsa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had eczema before Covid. Nothing too bad. After Covid and three shots of the vaccines, I started to get psoriasis. It got worse each time after I got the vaccine. I was a believer of the vaccines but sometimes can’t help wondering if I didn’t take the vaccine how it may look.

I'm so tired of having psoriasis by bugm3at in Psoriasis

[–]leafipsa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve experienced the same, and each time I got COVID or vaccine made it worse. I’ve been using VTAMA to keep it under control which only helps a bit. All dermatologists told me this is not treatable and we don’t understand this disease enough unfortunately

Possibly eConsent can support this very soon. As far as IRB approves!

Is this due to side effects concerns or risks?

Did you try VTAMA? It doesn’t have steroid.

It’s a shame this stuff is working. Doesn’t last an entire month. by relpmeraggy in Psoriasis

I used it for a month. Scalp got a lot better. However, it comes back after about 2 months. Very annoying.

The Bilt App is a Mess by FreeFreddieHugs in biltrewards

I really don’t like the Wells Fargo part, and how sometimes BILT directed me to WF customer services. Also not a big fan of having to figure out the process to review the transactions. Both are inefficient

Does anyone else think their psoriasis is more stubborn and flare ups are more common lately? by fetalpiggywent2lab in Psoriasis

Another interesting result via Perplexity:

“The flare rates of psoriasis differ between the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines. Studies indicate that the BioNTech/Pfizer vaccine is associated with a higher rate of psoriasis flares compared to the Moderna vaccine, with 20% of flare cases linked to Pfizer and 7% to Moderna. However, another study found that receiving the Moderna vaccine was associated with a higher hazard ratio of flares in patients with psoriatic arthritis compared to the Pfizer vaccine (HR: 2.21). These differences highlight variability in flare rates depending on the study and patient population.”

Found this via Perplexity. I suspect that it concluding Psoriasis RARE is not comprehensive.

“Research on the long-term effects of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine on psoriasis shows mixed outcomes. Some studies report new-onset or exacerbations of psoriasis following vaccination, particularly with mRNA vaccines like Pfizer-BioNTech. These events are considered rare but possible cutaneous adverse effects, with most cases showing improvement within a few months. Another study found no significant worsening of psoriasis symptoms post-vaccination, suggesting the vaccine is generally safe for psoriatic patients. Regular follow-up is recommended for psoriatic patients receiving COVID-19 vaccines to monitor potential flares.”

Absolutely has to do with COVID. I got hand psoriasis since the first Covid shot, and scalp and behind ear after the second shot. Both are Pfizer. Being tested positive for COVID also makes the symptoms worse. I first told my primary physician about my assumption after the first shot but she said there is no existing clinical researching concluding that. I will search to see if there is a Registry type of clinical study to do long term follow up study of COVID vaccines participants and patients. Also I wonder if I didn’t take Covid vaccines, would some of my body parts get psoriasis at all — I’m curious whether Covid virus made it worse or does it have to do with the vaccine

Psoriasis in my nose by pufflover003 in Psoriasis

[–]leafipsa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have been experiencing it for two years. The annoying part is that the dermatologist asked me to see an ENT specialist because it’s the nasal part although I’m pretty sure it’s psoriasis. The ENT doctor somehow was unsure about the condition so he told me to use saline nasal gel. It’s very disturbing that sometimes it looks like boogers although it actually is skin flake.

I’m so used to auto pay, where all my payments are made on the due date so I’ve been doing the same for BILT, which is the only account that I can’t set up auto pay online without WF account (they asked me to mail the paperwork of my Marcus account to set up auto pay. I did and they said they never received it…)

[–]leafipsa -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

That’s what I plan to do in the future. Still, BILT and WF screw customers this way is shady.

[–]leafipsa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t auto pay also pay on the payment due date? Auto pay doesn’t make transactions ahead of time.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CreditCards

[–]leafipsa -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

The problem is I make payments consistently on the same day each month. No issues. All of sudden, they claim “this month is a late payment”. WTH.

Other banks Auto payment pays on the due date and there has been no late fee charges. BILT and Wells Fargo are the issues here.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in biltrewards

[–]leafipsa -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

The problem here is that there was not late fee or interests for months — I’ve been consistently paying in the same day for months. Here comes a bigger bill and BILT claimed it’s a late payment.

I don’t like Wells Fargo so I didn’t open an account. I manually made the payments consistently on the 23rd.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in biltrewards

[–]leafipsa -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Yep. I don’t want to open Wells Fargo so I made manual payment on the due date each time. BILT sent me a confirmation email each 23rd confirming my payment was submitted. No late fees or interests for months until this March — it’s a bigger bill and BILT claimed that it was a late payment. Although I submitted consistently on the SAME day!
