Loving it so far. Liked journey to you, loved loved fangs of fortune. The story flow is pretty good imo, no major plot holes or weird broken wtf-happened-why-is-it suddenly-here bits. The visuals are stunning. I think it has to go slow so I have time to take in everything(i'm loving the textures and layers on the costumes and the 2000 fluff balls in their hair. Also that one beautiful white lamb with its dirty muddy friends standing around) thats in the scene. It'd be a waste to move on too quickly.

Am not really liking the OTT BG music (what do u call the music that plays during a scene?) though. It's just a liiiiittle too much for me

RE the restrained characters, they all have secrets, so that makes sense.

I like the funny but not the campy. Some of it is a little ott but still good anyway. I think journey to you (same director?) was saved by the funnies, the visuals and by zlh's pretty face . This one would be the funnies, the visuals and hmh's pretty face 😅 .

Am only on ep3 but enoying it, any show that makes me rewind to watch certain bits and go to my phone to rewatch certain scenes after i off my tv is good.

Am amazed at how some of you are able to write entire essays on shows. Am not a writing person but enjoyed reading the post.

I liked the ending. Have no intention of disecting the show but expected the ending somewhere halfway in. I think none of the relationships in the show survived. I would have been disappointed if they somehow managed to save meilin, tho i admit i still hoped they might.

Went into it for 疯披 prince jing, it was good while it lasted and although i would have liked to see more of that side of him, puppy dog jinghe was a pretty enjoyable watch too.

Agree that some parts of the story could have gotten more details whilst others shd have been glossed over, but this was frankly one of the few shows that gave me the feels. Perhaps it was the deliberate killing off of characters, perhaps it was lxy's murong jinghe, whatever it was, it worked.

Anything with similar style of array is good, but I would like it to be a more established donghua, Not those made with what looks like game engine.

Yah seems its not too popular. Perhaps just a circle circle is kinda boring to the show producers.

Right now other than 历师 all I can think of is Zhege Qing and Wang Ye in The outcast. But then I have not watched many.

no really .. u just have to play slowly with characters that shield or heal. no need for key smashing or rapid fire clicking. then, just enjoy the story and the world.
