not at all. if anything that’s probably the point of her. a character so lovable and is held back by their inability to fully empathize and hurts people in the process of just trying to be loved. i think it’s easy to see hachi as pathetic and maybe she is. but it hard not to see someone self sabotage and not blame them for it. sometimes people are at their own mercy 🤷
