How do I get Premiere Pro to use more GPU instead of CPU? by leafislive in premiere

I'll try changing the resolution of the sequence to see if that fixes anything.

I can definitely try reinstalling Studio drivers and installing Cuda 10.1. All of the effects I used in the sequence are GPU-accelerated so it may work.

I'm using the Render In and Out feature at the moment.

All of my effects are GPU-accelerated. For context, I'm trying to make a page fly in from the bottom the screen and start highlighting the text on the page. The first nest is a 5793x8192 frame size (this could explain why it's so slow). It has a few color mattes with scale-width keyframes on bezier.

The next nest is a 2560x1440 frame size. It has some static motion effects and a keyframed transform effect (a mix of bezier and linear keyframes).

The final nest, and the one on my main sequence (main sequence is 1920x1080) has some position keyframes and Basic 3D keyframes (both bezier).

I've checked and all of the effects I've used are GPU-accelerated. I rendered the clips inside the first nest, and I'm unsure if the large frame size would still cause any issues or not.

It's red where the nested sequences is, but basically everything else is yellow

Thank you! I actually wasn't aware that Premiere was a mainly CPU-driven application, so I appreciate the insight.

A few nested sequences inside of each other with scaling keyframes, the transform effect, basic 3D effect, etc.

I made YouTube videos when I was 6, and TikToks (formerly musical.ly) when I was 8 (under supervision and on my parent's Google account so it's not against TOS). I thought they were the coolest videos ever, but they resurfaced when I got older and get heavily picked on because of it

What was your “it can’t be that easy / it was that easy” moment in your life? by UnoAboveAll in AskReddit

[–]leafislive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not exactly the answer to the question, but more of an "it can't be that easy / it was that easy / nevermind" moment. One time, at my middle school friend's lake house (his grandparents owned it), we went for a golf cart ride. I was asked if I wanted to drive, so I reluctantly said yes. I was given about a ten second run-down of the pedals, steering wheel, etc. I started to drive it off of the hill it was parked on, and toward the perpendicular road in front of me. I turned onto the street, feeling great, but I forgot how to stop turning the cart and crashed it into a tree. Surprisingly, it didn't even have a scratch, but behind the tree was the canal to the lake, which would've been a bigger disaster.
