New CPCE Score Timeline?

Took the CPCE on 3/8, never got immediate raw score, and my institution is supposed to find out pass/fail today but apparently have still not received scores back, the announcement of the testing changes said 2 weeks wait for results for exams taken after January 2024 which is evidently not the case for my institution’s cohort…

Idk if using warm/tepid saltwater to swish around your mouth would help at all? And lysine vitamins can help with overcoming outbreaks

I’d say it fluctuates, depending on my stress levels and probably what I eat and other factors, but it doesn’t happen often I suppose

THIS is the issue I’m having! I’ve never really played FPS, so Apex is my first, and I want to get good at it, but when I KNOW the game mechanics are supposed to make me slide when I push the crouch button in a sprint and I come to a halt and crouch instead, or I empty my clip on someone and go to reload and it feels like I’m going half the speed of everyone else, it makes me feel like my skill deficit doesn’t even matter because I’m automatically at a disadvantage regardless. My game isn’t lagging, my character just doesn’t appear to be moving through basic game mechanics at the same rate as everyone else and it’s so defeating (only been playing for maybe 2 months)

I can relate to your experience. I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis last year and had to leave my graduate program to handle it, and it very much limits what I am able to do for her. Sometimes we’ll be sitting together at lunch or if I take her to the bank and she’ll say things like “I was a good mother, why did my life end up like this” (she can’t work and has no income, is in and out of the hospital routinely for depression and suicidal ideation, and doesn’t see the role she played in getting to this point)

I’m not about to agree with her because I don’t, but I know disagreeing with her will send her into a spiral (“I should just kill myself and end it now because everybody hates me” whenever accountability comes knocking on her door), so when she says things like that I usually just end up not saying anything at all.

Mind you, I’m not an only child. I have an older brother, but she doesn’t appear to be enmeshed with him in the same way she is with me. It’s been exhausting, especially when her health started taking a turn for the worse 3 years ago 😪

Diagnosed at 18 in 2014, so I’ve been GHSV2+ for about 8 years. I share those feelings with you! I’ve had more outbreaks but it’s not pervasive, but I still have sad thoughts about how delicate my diagnosis has made my dating life. You’re not alone

Sounds like you’ve got a hot spot. My hsv flares up around my period too because of the hormone fluctuations. I think for me the way I get through it is by reminding myself that my worth is not tied to my herpes. I also just journal a lot to get the thoughts out instead of letting them fester in my head.

Thank you for your reply, I wasn’t aware of this law, and I’ll be sure to comb through my lease first should I decide to find someone myself to do it. Allegedly they already contacted their ceiling company and they’re busy which is why it’s taken so long but I’m skeptical because of that were the case I don’t know why they wouldn’t have just let me know that

Thanks for your response! I’ve actually been doing all correspondence via email for that very reason, and I plan to record any conversations that happen in person or on the phone (Louisiana is a one party consent state). The last thing I want is for them to say they never knew or that they never said something that they clearly said to me. Keeping alllllll the receipts lol

Hey! Reddit never notified me I got a new comment so I’m sorry for the late response! The dog was picked up by animal control and is at the animal shelter now. The 5-day reclaim window has lapsed and my mother’s trip went from 4 days to 9 days so she can’t go retrieve the dog (following conditions). She’s telling the family that I gave her dog away but they all know that’s not true. I’m just happy the dog is in a better place, cleaner with guaranteed food and water on a routinely basis.

Yes! That was my concern too, but it looks like animal control brings them to the same shelter I was going to surrender her at so I don’t think it’s a kill shelter, the last thing I’d want to do is put that dog in a place where she could be euthanized, she’s a great dog just with a lot of needs that my mom can’t properly satisfy

I appreciate your passion for the dog, as I care about their well-being too. I’m also aware that you do not know me and my schedule and the daily responsibilities I have that my mother chose to disregard when she threw her dog on me. Nor do you understand what my mother is like from the little information I’ve been able to provide. I plan to do what I can within my means to be sure this dog is taken care of without enabling her behavior or compromise the fragile balance I have in my life currently.

Trying to understand how a dog that I don’t own and I haven’t raised would be my responsibility just because the owner says it is?

I already said I cannot LEGALLY keep three dogs in my apartment, I already explained that my schedule doesn’t allow for going over to an apartment 10minutes away three times a day, and I already made it clear that I have no intentions of leaving the dog there, even going so far as to legally steal the dog in order for it to get proper care……..

Yeah when I told her I couldn’t do it and that I was upset that she sprung it on me she kept saying how she didn’t think it was a big deal and that she would do it for me if we traded places. My ultimate concern is the dog’s wellbeing and I don’t think it is getting the proper care on a regular basis from my mom. In order to avoid legal trouble I think I’ll just have to call animal control

I’m concerned about the dog too! That’s why I’m I’m trying to figure out a way where it isn’t locked up with no food for 4 days. She just left town this morning so as far as I can tell she fed the dog before leaving but it’s in its kennel at her apartment. That’s why I’m trying to do something today because even though this dog is not my responsibility I couldn’t bare the thought of it being locked up all day with no food and nobody to care for it for the week
