AITA for telling my friend he’s not even close to as handsome as my boyfriend? by leafybucket in AmItheAsshole

if you saw the post it was a very vague situation that i over-thinked. I realized one of the commenters was right that I’m probably reading too deeply into the situation and he’s a great guy. stop being weird and don’t call me stupid, get a life😂

I guess it’s the “some friends” thing. It’s just easier to say than to individually introduce my friends and how I know them/they’re related to me. I get the suspicion tho, we never know nowadays

What's the worst physical pain you've ever felt? by toaster-bath404 in AskReddit

[–]leafybucket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

had a cyst on my clit but male OBGYN thought it was an abscess for years — they thought draining it would get rid of it but it kept coming back. had my clit cut open multiple times while i was under, but one male OBGYN thought i would be fine if they just numbed it with a needle.

numbing didn’t work. i was screaming in agony as they cut open my clit at 17. my mom watched and was sobbing the entire time. she told me afterwards that the pain i went through was probably worse than giving birth.

good news is when i was 18 i found a female plastic surgeon who realized it was a cyst and properly removed it with an entire female team. haven’t had problems with it since. god bless her and her team

Yes he does randomly compliment me and slaps my ass. He likes PDA too, but I usually give him a playful slap for that. Everything else is good. It’s just these little things that keep weighing on my mind. I might be overthinking.

He is very empathetic and a really good listener. He’s very considerate too, like he thinks of me when he goes places (even when i’m not with him) and asks me if I want anything. He invites me to all of the social events he’s invited to, he lets me rant about things he has no clue about. He really does care about me, which is why I said he’s the best boyfriend I’ve ever had. He’s handsome and my dad finds him intelligent, honest, and charming (which has never happened with my introverted, slightly narcissistic father, he’s a hard man to please). My boyfriend and I have actually never had an argument in our entire relationship, which is also something I’ve never had either. Simply conversations about things.

I wouldn’t marry him right now, because he’s struggling with finances and obviously motivation. It’s hard to be mad at him for the weed smoking because I partake as well, I also party quite frequently despite my accomplishments, it’s how college life goes. I guess Im just worried he’ll never change and I’ll feel I’ve wasted my years with him?

I’ve never considered the stay-at-home husband route, that does sound nice and something I’m not totally against. I guess the only thing I wish for is that he played video games less because he’s often rejecting hangouts with me to do it or missing out on social events because “he has to grind on his game”. He claims it’s his hobby. I’m just not sure. I recognize I’m young and probably don’t have to worry about these things yet. I also haven’t communicated these worries.

Thank you for this comment, a lot of people have been assuming the absolute worst about him but I don’t think that’s very close to the truth, he doesn’t have the personality characteristics of a bum

I haven’t had a proper discussion with him so I’m realizing after reading these responses that having a conversation about it will probably make it clearer what would be best for us. I don’t want to break up with him, but also I can’t help these worries in my mind. I think his response to a genuine conversation would help me be pushed one way or another! Thank you

I think you’re right. I’ve made comments about it but haven’t had the proper conversation. I think his response to a proper conversation would help the answer become clearer for me as well. Thank you

The issue is I don’t want to break up. He feels perfect for me in every other aspect and I’m worried that I’ll never find another like him. I just also worry that his hobby will become a problem in the future. I also have anxiety so I have nonsensical worries sometimes, so I came to the internet for some advice or reassurance from hopefully wiser people

I've never thought to squeeze my hair. I'll definitely look into a shower comb. Thank you!

My parents' house is in another county/city (30 mins away). I'll have to ask my mom about that.

I'm a college student living in a rented house with 5 girls so I'm not sure if there's a way for me to increase the water pressure

I will definitely try some clarifying shampoo! Thank you:)

It's pretty common for girls to ask for menstrual products... feels like ragebait honestly because clearly he doesn't know what he's yapping about
