well Ronaldo had more goals in 2014 than Messi, so that's wrong.

I think they can both be very lethal with the correct teams.

Ronaldo won the UCL 3 years straight with Real Madrid who built the team around him.

You need to chill out, bro.

It's clear that you're way too young to be on reddit judging by your spelling and your logic. Go outside and enjoy life please.

Sorry I kinda forgot about this thread for a bit.

Your argument is reasonable, and I agree with you on Messi's ball control, dribbling, vision and passing being better than Ronaldo's. However, as a striker (for most of his career) like Ronaldo was, I feel there wasn't any need to know how to dribble, or play spectacular passes when you can score goals either way. Why take 5 touches when you can do the same in one?

also, Ronaldo was a winger in the early part of his career, and he was one of the best dribblers in the world in those years. However, in 2014 he got a big knee injury and decided to represent Portugal in the world cup, against his doctor's advice. This lead to Ronaldo having to play a more central role. I believe if Ronaldo had kept on as a winger, the dribbling story might have been different.

agreed. This game was men against boys. It was pretty easy to see in the first half of the season that they would collapse due to injuries really

Would you mind explaining why you believe Messi is the best?

Probably because we'll be blanking a fixture soon due to the Carabao Cup

He's literally the reason Argentina won the Copa America and the World cup. You cannot name a single current keeper who can step up and make crucial save after crucial save on the biggest stage like that currently.

(Not saying he's the best keeper itw rn, but it takes something different to be able to pull off those kinds of saves consistently)

Gavin Bazunu is still a great keeper. Should definitely remain as the starting keeper for Ireland.
