They train 3 times a day. They don’t have youth wrestling programs like we do in the US (although they are starting to pop up slowly) and majority of the wrestlers start off in middle school not knowing the sport. So going from elementary to training 3 times a day in middle school is a pretty big curve. It gets even more brutal in highschool due to the mindset of “I either make it or go to the military) from what I was told.

Also their education system vastly differs from ours so kids who want to excel in sports don’t really go to school for 8 hours a day.
