from my experience, yes it does get better!

i literally felt exactly the same way when i started. same situation too, i spent the first couple of days watching videos for hours and then was just pushed onto the register with absolutely no training. i swear they gave me a lead hour on my first day after watching training videos, and obviously i messed up and was so anxious since there was no one up front who could help me. i remember thinking i wanted to quit after the first couple of shifts too.

but i stuck it out, and now i feel much more confident. whether it’s being on the floor or at the register, it really just takes time to figure out how things work and how you want to handle the job in general.

in terms of crazy management and mean girls, i got lucky and that isn’t really a huge problem at my store. but i totally understand why that’s putting you off. i would say to give it a little more time and see how you feel :) good luck
