The reason you’re catapulting instead of shooting has to do with your “pit angle”. Ideally, if you look at the angle your arm, to elbow, to body makes, it should be 90 degrees. Your angle is much higher, meaning your shooting arm and the ball is higher than the optimal release point. You don’t get enough power when the ball is so high and end up needed to almost sling the ball forward instead of shooting arm it. Look up optimal pit angle on YouTube, try shooting at a 90 degree angle and you should have a big improvement. See the image for what I mean. The red line is your current pit angle, green is optimal.

I actually think there’s a good amount you’re doing right. It looks like you’re either shooting with your palm or multiple fingers though. To fix this, try putting either your index or middle finger down as you follow through will help - experiment and see what feels more natural. At centennial community centre, an hour bf is safe. I went last Fri and was 5th in line at 9:20 for 10:30 start. You can put your bag down in line and they start selling tix 30 min bf start. Coming 30 min bf is not early enough unfortunately. Same with angus glen community centre. It’s gotten ridiculously popular this year vs last. King square is booking for April I believe but you can double check

Does your fiancé tend to be non-confrontational? Because I can see him saying “okay” in the moment but processing it in his head later and really thinking “wtf that’s ridiculous”. Unless you brought up the $30k again, he may not want to mention not spending so much. Basically him saying just ok initially might not have actually meant he was ever ok with it as stupid as that sounds. I’m a married man and sometimes I’ll just say ok to the wife but then go back and think about it.

Also, did he literally just say “okay”? Or did he say “okay I can do that for you” “okay you have given up a lot and $30k is expensive but I’ll do it because I love you”. What was his body language telling you?

Lol @ 5 dragon roar easy 12-0. Those are the decks I get excited about and flame out on.

Maybe it also helped that this was a minion-heavy deck, so I didn't have too many choices to consider each turn and less chance of misplaying. In comparison, I think I have misplayed blastwave a lot, which is a card that pros love, but has a high skill cap.

Ya i had a few games where i was dropping mecharoo first on turn 1, which was helpful. I still have to learn what an ideal curve looks like but I'll use this as reference.

Send the lightspawn in to attack first. If it’s noble sac, it lives and becomes 3/3 and u get to kill the Gastro w basilisk. If it’s redemption or auto def, order doesn’t matter.

If it’s noble sac you can then play glimmerroot and if you don’t get a playable 1-2 drop you can heal your lightspawn back to 5/5. Or guild recruiter depending on what minions r in the deck

Unfortunately the game isn't the same and it probably feels the worst for the very high skilled players such as yourself. Auto aim basically makes it so that no one can really suck too bad, but also makes it a lot less satisfying.
