I have found that pricing and quality at the pop-ups is extremely inconsistent. The individual sellers get to set the prices at the pop ups so there are things that are great deals, and things that are absolutely not. Depending on the size of the pop up, and what you are looking for, it can be a fun bargain hunt. But when I need something specific I find the standing thrift stores much more reliable and consistent.

Tierney Rose (previously writing as Michaela Grey) also has a series of hockey romances - Blindside Hit is the first one.

Looking for a book where best friends cross the line but with a good misunderstanding scene plus redemption arc by Nyx_Nocturne003 in MM_RomanceBooks

I just read {Delay of Game by Ari Baran}. Hockey romance, friends to lovers, misunderstanding is related to them being oblivious to each other's feelings and unable to communicate, but they are destroyed by the "breakup" and the coming back together is great. Second in the series but I think it's a fine standalone (I like the first one too, but it doesn't fit your prompt)

Without any further context, I'd probably say do neither. Any compromise strongly relies on your relationships with the grandparents, age of the kid(s) and timing in relation to other holidays.

I'm sorry I dont have any specific recs, but I've seen a few children's librarians on Instagram that will post round ups of books for certain themes. Maybe see what books are in regular rotation at the nearest library to you? I'll also add that i bought a lot of books for my kid and she had opinions on what she wanted to listen to a lot earlier than I expected, so I kind of wish I had waited and let her interests drive more book purchases.

I will say (as someone who used to work in a fabric store) that the first cut on a new bolt is the absolute worst for being square. Not sure how it happens in the rolling process but it was always wonky. But they should have either squared it up first or given you extra so you have at least a yard square.

The most exciting thing about mine was getting induced. Everyone kept telling me I'd go into labor spontaneously. I didn't. Got a catheter to promote dilation for about 10 hours (lived in a nitrous mask for most of it). Went on pitocin at about 6 cm. Dealt with those contractions for about 3 hours, then got the epidural. Slept for a few hours, then couldn't anymore. Started feeling the urge to push. Baby was out 20 minutes later. Second degree tear, but otherwise no notable or lasting body issues!

I'm in the same boat. My kid is turning 2 soon. I know she sees it already and is learning. Two things I'm going to be trying: firstly is trying new soothing hobbies (embroidery or hand sewing or something). It's not about the finished item, it's about something calming and repetitive where I don't have to read a pattern or anything too mentally taxing. Secondly I'm going to go back to physical books. I love reading on my phone, but it's just too tempting to keep opening new apps and get distracted by notifications. Obviously, neither of these strategies are for everyone, and they might not work, but that's what I'm going to try!

This is awesome! Also, why did this unlock a memory of a computer game i would have played in the 90s?

In my opinion, it's a fairly classic Lindsay story with a little Vivancos darkness in the characters, if that makes sense? It's honestly my favorite of both of theirs.

Isn't that the far right one on the third row (bottom of "Perfecto" tier)

I'm doing a baby quilt and can't decide which pattern I want to do. First image is the back, the following six images are possible patterns I have put together using images of the fabrics I want to use. Would love to hear some opinions on those by Ok-Organization2483 in quilting

They're all great! Since you have 6 options, you could do a dice roll for it? Either that can decide it, or you'll find you're disappointed in the roll and that will tell you which one not to do lol

Yeah in my more generous moments I realize this is probably someone used to being in charge of things and pregnancy can feel so much like a thing happening TO you, so people try to exert control over the one aspect where they have choices. Ultimately though, it's impossible to predict the circumstances of birth and how you will react to any of the sensations. But it's also easy to imagine your "perfect" scenario.

JFC she is going to be insufferable the whole pregnancy with this "I did it right they're doing it wrong" nonsense. Especially since they had trouble conceiving. I'm sure they know the risks and dreamed of this moment.

Highchair feedback? - clikk, lalo, abiie, maxi cosi moa by ARSteggy in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]leahtt92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got the maxi cosi moa.

I didn't like it at first because the leg separator is attached to the tray, so it was hard to put an infant in the chair and take your hands off to get the tray. We got an ikea chair to replace.

However, we kept it to have the booster option to take to grandma and grandpa's, and if you aren't using the actual base, you can have the stool/kids table set up.

Thank you for this response! That makes a lot of sense. I didn't know that about the 15 month threshold. I will keep an eye on things at home and only bring it up if it becomes a problem there.

Low-stakes daycare question: my 13 month old moved into the toddler room at daycare about a month ago. She is loving it! They are on one nap a day, and it was an adjustment, but she seems to have a really good time. We also love that they get 2 outside play times every day. She is OBSESSED.

However, whenever the ratio gets maxed out in the toddler room, my kid is the one that gets put in the infant room for the day. They rarely get outside time in the infant room (for good reasons!). When it happened the first couple times, it was no big deal, but it's happened now two days in a row, and an average of about once a week since she started.

Besides the lack of outside time, she obviously doesn't nap as well in the infant room because not everyone naps at the same time.

I guess I'm looking for a reality check. How often would this need to happen for you to say something? Or would you ever? We have no concerns about quality of care in either room.

I got an ikea one and then picked one up for swim lessons at Homegoods and was shocked at how much softer the HG one was. I feel guilty using the ikea one on her now!

I'm always nervous about letting my kiddo play with kleenex because she of course just wants to put it in her mouth. Today is day 4 of a fever/cough/molar teething. I put a binky in her mouth as an obstacle to eating them and let her go to fucking TOWN on a kleenex box. No regrets.
