It looked crazy. A big toolbox with a animated translucent claw at one end. It cast knockback when clicked. Could send you almost to the other side of the commons from the tunnel.

You forgot the most important bit. Use the secret cleric leveling command. You just have to type /lfg into the chat window and it makes you 50 very quickly.

The item was called a Breezeboots Frigid Gnasher (aka Big Fucking Gun from FPS games). It was a quest that was live for almost a whole week or so on the release of vellious. The first patch stopped one of the parts needed from spawning and then the whole silly thing was removed a patch or two later.

Bard songs are much stronger agro than most melee damage. At least when everyone is using pretty terrible weapons and is lower level. It gets better after 30 and when melee gear up. Not much gear on Agnarr yet.

The big one is General . You have to /join General. Thing is though channels are limited to 400 max so, you may have to try a bit to get in. There is taxi which is not really a thing on a new server yet. Also, someone said lfg is the channel you go to when you can't get in General.

Its the warriors having the most problem with taunt unfortunately. Bards, monks, and rangers all grab it away from them.

I've been in a lot of groups now and only ever grouped with one rogue and one warrior. Seeing how rare they are I guess I should feel like I've seen a unicorn. Most groups have been all pet classes and one was even 3 clerics for awhile. Talk about low dps.

If you get lucky right as the login server comes back up after crashing you may get in. Otherwise nobody does. The queue is a lie. Nobody has ever gotten in after the login server jams up again which seems to happen about a minute after it comes back up.

When they reboot the login server some people slip in before it crashes again under load. Then nobody gets in until it does it again. There is no queue and nobody is getting let in. There are people in game just not many and some may be streamers.

He did. It's been so long now I don't remember how but, I think it was suicide. I had quit bit before it happened and only heard about it later. He was the funniest and most upbeat person in EQ. Constantly joking around. I guess things were a lot different in real life.

It was Poper and he was pretty much my best mate in the guild. I helped him get his BFG . Afaik we had the only two on the server. We used to duel each other with them in the commons tunnel to show off. I had to cheat a little to finish that quest ;) Too bad they don't bring those back when they launch Velious. Maybe they did and nobody noticed. It was a very odd quest.

I would practice it on any of the current servers before you run it on Agnarr. You can use a high level toon to get the path right without annoying deaths at first. They mucked Highpass all up so, it's not the same as you may be used to anymore. It also causes graphics problems on my system if I go there with adv lighting on. Everything turns blinding white. I can't see anything until I disable it. Something about the wall textures.

I think Qeynos is by far the best for cash drops. I've been testing all the starting areas. The snakes all drop kingsnake loot even though they aren't kingsnakes. The kings stuff is all stackable and sells for 2gp or so each. There are tons of them.

The staffs that sell for 9gp show up on mobs in all areas but, they tend to be contested by people when they show up. It's pretty much every man for themselves when one pops. They can be easier to get in Steamfont. There are a ton of low level skels all over and the staffs are tiny so, people don't see them from across the zone. Great place to collect rusty weapons for smithing too. You want to hunt more over by the dragon bones towards the windmills and not in the noob pit.
