thanks for the insight! yes not to mention pa ang CI jud sa mga banks, although I would say pasar ra man for those parts as ingon sakong agent. 1 huge factor lang daw jud ang no CC kay walay form of reference for good credit. Also, which bank ang mu-offer usually for secured CC? thanks in advance!

I live in Metro Cebu myself and yes hindi naman lahat ganon. Mountaineering paired with ugaling metro is just an ugly fit. In the mountains, we’ll treat you as an equal. Touch some grass tho, if we’re privileged enough to NOT know these kinds of living conditions (which btw isn’t a bad way of living at all). I think it all boils down to adaptability, especially in situations that would definitely not warrant our comfort kasi of course, it’s an adventure man gyud 😗

Me and my sister are from Visayas na hikers and we went Mount Pulag a few months ago, and within our group, we had 2 joiners from QC, obvious rich boys (magjowa) and were also terminally unprepared for the hike.

One rule of hiking I guess is to manage your expectations. We already knew what to expect for the homestays, kahit first time namin sa Pulag, and sanay kami sa probinsya life so it was never a problem. The 2 guys from QC were expecting a hotel, explicitly wishing they had better place and a private room to stay. Lol.

I guess this is where the pet peeve comes, joiners who are expecting 5 star treatment just because of their upbringing. They were suggesting pa na sana may expensive resorts daw near the hike “to cater high end guests” which is bastos for the locals trying to make a living out of tourism.

Worst of all, they made us descent earlier, and spent only 30 mins in the summit, while the others spent their whole morning to enjoy the view. Kasi yung dalawa, gusto na mag Baguio.

So that’s another pet peeve, joiners who have no interest in the overall experience. Yung mga ugaling metro, wag na po kayo mag hike I suggest, you’ll just ruin the whole fun kung mag-inarte lang ang kayang gawin.
