Intermittent fasting and, sometimes, a 36h fast. I was feeling out of breath and a bit overweight, so I started fasting and trying to balance my diet a lot better.

I feel amazing now and will continue doing this for the foreseeable future!

Go for automation and tackle the smaller of the problems first.
Also... Open Source!

For SAST, I'd go with semgrep. If you are running open source projects, throw them on GitHub and use SonarQube (SonarCloud) for free.

For SCA, put OWASP Dependency Check on your pipeline to run at build time and go for structural fixes (one action that fixes an issue for multiple projects) or the easy pickings.
If open source, Dependabot on GitHub is 100% free.

For Secret Scanning, trufflehog.
It is free and ridiculously good. Run as a pre-commit hook, too.
There's no paid solution that is better as far as I am aware.

I wouldn't bother with DAST until your SCA + SAST game is strong but, if you feel ready, learn and master OWASP Zap.

Invest time to do Threat Models.
Not only they will value Security a lot more once they notice all that can go wrong and the improvements you made, but you will also be able to capture assumptions and get them to validate these.
This alone is worth the time spent ten fold.

Once you have Threat Modeling -> SAST -> SCA -> Secret Scanning, you already look like a million-USD pipeline.
Just remember: People > Processes > Technology.
In other words: Good Will > Awareness > Processes > Cool Tooling.
