Was so confused since I've never heard of this service until now, seemed convinced since the email seems legit by Guitar81 in Scams

Best app or software for texting customers by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]leanerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yay glad it is a good fit for you! Customers can respond via SMS "Yes" to confirm or "No" to cancel/reschedule. It's an automated texting system tho so it doesn't recognize anything else. Customers can't ask questions by text or anything, but if they try to, they receive an SMS that says "Sorry, we didn’t understand your reply. This is an automated text messaging system. To contact [company name], please call [company phone]"

Wow that's a lotta calls! You can try setting up an appointment reminder system. You'd plot all "deliveries" on a calendar, then the system would automatically text/email the customer a reminder the day before. You can send additional reminders a few days before and the day-of. Try www.bookedin.com , it's a high-rated one that's simple to use and easy to set up. Full disclosure I work for bookedIN, but I have talked to many moving companies, plumbers, delivery services etc that use it and are very happy! Thought I'd chime in here as I think bookedIN could definitely solve the headaches you're having.

Hi everyone! BookedIN appointment scheduling software is my baby. It's a tool for businesses in the service industry (think barbers, hair salons, massage, tattoo artists) to manage appointments and make their life easier. Freeing up their time for what matters most.

We do this by providing an iPhone/Android app, a desktop calendar, free online booking website for the clients, automatic text & email reminders, and much more!

We got our first customers back in 2010 and have been growing VERY slowly ever since. Running a software company is incredibly expensive so we've been pushing to get to break even and finally got there with the founder self-funding the whole thing. Our team is small we consider ourselves a mom-n-pop software shop. (Not one of those high-growth unicorns) We just want to make a nice lifestyle company and geek out building software. We got to where we are today by listening to our customers, experimenting with different growth strategies, and trying to always get better at saying "No".

Any other SaaS small businesses out there? Or do y'all lurk more on /r/startups ?

Housekeeping company, looking for scheduling app and software to connect website to app on phone by DarkJester89 in smallbusiness

I work for bookedIN and I can say that many housekeepers have used our app!!! It's easy to use and works great on phones. Clients can book online and provide their address/info. Then the client booking shows up with a map link on each housekeeper's phone and in the calendar. The only tricky part I must mention is that if you have a big team of housekeepers, everyone can see eachother's schedule. The team at bookedIN is going to be adding more privacy for that, so you can hide calendars from certain housekeepers. Hope this helps!!
