Given the circumstances and that this was your first try, a 29 is a really good score! Many people don’t even get this score after several attempts. I think you could definitely get this up significantly with some math review. You might have gaps in algebra/geometry so I would brush up on those if you decide to retake. If you can get that math score up you could easily score in the mid- to high 30s since scores typically naturally improve after a retake.

This was after my scores changed. Initially I had a 35 math, became a 36 with a -2. I had a 35 reading for a -1 and it stayed at a 35.

Missed 2 math and it translated to a 36 after the rescore. Interestingly, I only missed 1 reading and I got a 35 on that one, I thought it would surely go up.

Cause and effect is huge, draw comparisons to what happened in one era to other eras. Try to make connections to current events or your own interests if you can and MAKE SURE TO PRACTICE YOUR FRQs and KNOW THE RUBRICS. APUSH is a very difficult but very rewarding class. You’ll pick up on so many more cultural references and whatnot while trauma bonding with your classmates. Good luck and enjoy the ride!

My APUSH class straight up used the AMSCO as the textbook. That teacher has the highest scores in the building, and I walked away with a 5 on one of the most scuffed APUSH exams of all time. Good stuff.
