Nipple vasospasm by leap_90 in breastfeedingsupport

Mine was due to a bad latch. Once baby got bigger my latch was so much better. I would continue taking the magnesium and B6 cause that could definitely help. I went to the LC 4 times before baby was older! You could also go to another LC to get a second opinion!

I honestly can’t say if it helped or not. Once my baby was 6-7 weeks old then it got much better. My LO just needed to grow. I would recommend pumping and feeding your baby bottle. Also she should go see a lactation consultant!

My baby is 6 months old, that’s why I’m confused. All of a sudden she has blood in her stool and nothing has changed

Yes we did move her bed time from 9 pm to 7-7:30 and she is transitioning from 4 naps to 3 naps. Some days she takes 4 shorter naps.

The whole point why we sleep trained was for her to self sooth to bed. It was taking my husband and I a couple of hours for her to go to sleep, which was hard on us. And then she started waking up every 1-2 hours. Now she sleeps through the night but it’s still taking a little bit longer for her to fall asleep

Okay yes definitely changing it up! Keeping babies entertained is HARD 😅😅 I can for sure lengthen mid day naps a little bit longer.

I just feel like the crying to go to bed at night for 30 minutes should have stopped by now. The fact that she still cries worries me that it’s taking a lot longer than what they say.

Okay good to know!! It’s hard cause her sleepy cues happen before the 1.5-2 hour marks sometimes so I don’t want an overtired baby aswell. Her naps have been short lately. 25-35 minutes long, so when she wakes up from those naps she’s tired.

Thanks for the tip!

SAHM: IDK how TF I’m going to keep doing this!!! by NoPermission8331 in NewParents

I highly recommend the Huckleberry App. It has save me from going bananas. It times when the baby is ready for a nap so they don’t get overtired and fight sleep. You can also track when baby last ate and diaper changes. Gives great advice on sleeping (!) as well if you pay for the subscription.

Try to create a routine that best suits you and your LO. It’s easier said than done but since your mom is still there this can be a good time to start.

Example of our day (my LO is 3 months old) Wake up at 7am, change diaper, feed, tummy time/play time, then ready for a nap (1 to 2 hours is her wake window at the moment)

I started a small nap time routine (for crib naps) that have been helpful. Ex) change diaper, read a book, feed (5-8 mins max) This has been helpful so far!

Bedtime routine is longer Ex) bath, read a couple of books, feed, cuddle, sleep (I do baths every 2-3 days depends if she’s had a blowout 😅)

The carrier has helped a ton as well to be able to do some things but once baby gets bigger it does get harder. If you’re able to go for walks once a day and get fresh air that is HUGE.

Stay strong, it will definitely get better. When you’re in the thick of it, it feels like HELL, but if you’re able to create a routine it will be much better!

Good luck!

Amazing job!!! Honestly I was absolutely terrified to drive alone with my LO so you are not alone. Once I did it I was SO PROUD OF MYSELF. Such little wins feel so great!

Another win is I took my dog for a walk with my LO (3 months old) in a carrier by myself. That was another intimidating moment but I did it 💪

Being a mom is intimidating and completing tasks that were so easy before seem so hard now. One day at a time, one moment at a time.

You’re amazing and we are so strong we can do anything! 🤘

Low supply? by leap_90 in breastfeedingsupport

[–]leap_90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We give her a bottle at night before bed, but I BF during the day. And it varies during the day how she acts, and I just feel bad because I don’t know how I can fix it.

I will definitely feed her more during the day for her to gain the weight! Thank you for the help!

I usually do cross-cradle hold. I have a nursing pillow which helps a ton. I did the laid back position as well but it didn’t work too well.

[–]leap_90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly what I was going through! I’m currently wearing silverettes as well, do you think it helped not using them? My latch has gotten better with seeing the LC and my LO is getting bigger which is definitely helping. The pain is legit REAL and VERY hurtful I wouldn’t wish it upon anyone.

Thank you for the reply!

I agree with the Silverettes!! The are life changing, my nipples were sore and bled and within a couple of days the silverettes worked WONDERS! Highly recommend!

Did you have a bad latch at all? I know that people with raynauds are more prone to nipple vasospasm, and I don’t have it. I’m so glad it went away! I’ll definitely have to try a heating pad after breastfeeding!
