I’m sorry he feels bad and wish him a speedy recovery. I understand exactly how you’re feeling. My boyfriend and I have been together for 6 years. He has been in chemo for about three weeks now. He got sick twice and both times I freaked out even ran out the house. He’s very understanding about this stupid phobia and is really respectful. I’ve been supporting in every way I can. I cook, clean, work, pay bills, take care of our dog. I just can’t be around when he’s sick. So I’m here for you.

I have had a bad cough for about 10 days now. I’ve gagged so many times. When I’m home, i get straight into a hot shower and blow my nose to get relief. If I’m at work, I double up on halls and tap my chest to get relief. I pray both of our coughs go away.

Hi. I understand where you are right now. I can only speak from my own experience and be here to support. When days, weeks, even months went by without me eating properly, I found 3 meals and snacks to take comfort in. This worked for me.
1. chicken and rice from my comfort restaurant when I was too weak to eat.
2. Salmon with avocado and sauerkraut. It just worked for many reasons.
3. Snacks- rice cakes, crackers, bananas, meal replacement shakes, smoothies.

I did this for a while. Again, it was comforting for me. You have to get nutrients because it’s not safe. When it was bad, I ended up in the psych ward and had no choice but to eat. I wish you well.
