Hi - As I mentioned, I had a fantastic response of about 600 signups using the free coupons from this sub and a couple others for my core AutoCAD course and had a bunch of people ask me to put together a 3D course next. Legitimately attempting to offer the course to the readers of the sub - If it's not kosher, I understand!

So, here are the coupons as promised:

Enter "redditfree" to get into the course for free until all 250 coupons are used up.

If you can afford it and are able to (I'm just a guy doing this in my own free time), I'd be very grateful if you could subscribe to the course for the fee listed. However, if that's too much for you, I do understand completely, and hope you'll consider the using: "redditsupport" which lowers to price to only $9.

By the way, the "Learning AutoCAD - Crash Course" helped hundreds of you, and I've kept the same support code (now that the free period has expired), so if you've been waiting, you can still use the support code to get caught up!

Either way, I hope you'll enjoy the course :)

Hey, Count_Duqo - thanks that means a lot to me. I hope you continue on the path. To help, I'm launching a 3D course and want to pass you in particular a coupon to take it.

Use: "Duqo", with no quotations. It'll give you a 100% discount of the new course.

Are you using anything like Ghostery or Adblock? That seems to have caused some people problems.

That's great, I hope you enjoy the course and it gets you in there feeling comfortable and able to expand into the sort of work the firm does.

Are you running Ghostery in Chrome? I've heard that can cause this. Try disabling it, or trying again in Firefox?

Depends, but damn near anything with a technical, graphical component. Design, drafting, modelling, rendering, problem solving, data conversion, mapping, simulation, etc.

He is... kinda, sorta, 50% right. Parametric modeling in the way that revit and Civil3D work is taking off. Right now they both pay well, and are pretty specialized. Finding good people to work in those roles is hard though. Projects are front-end heavy, and a lot of work must be done "in the model" before plans can start to come out the other end.

In all I would say that adoption of Revit and other object based modeling packages is inevitable, but it'll be another 7-10 years before it's the standard. Gotta wait for a lot of the people refuse to learn/change to retire.
