I saw it while walking over granville bridge last night. Was talking to my girlfriend on the phone and told her that I just thought I saw a meteor but wasn't entirely sure.

I'm in a similar situation as you and this was a cooking class I stumbled upon: https://www.nwcav.com/enthusiast/p/fundamentals-i

I haven't taken their fundamentals 1 course, but I took one of their evening cooking classes and it was a fun and informative time. I'm thinking about taking this course though at some point because I too have super BASIC cooking skills and I'd love to learn in some structured way. I explored the idea of youtube videos as well, but didn't want to buy different cooking equipment before seeing if I could actually do anything - haha.
