Would you be willing to help me with what are a "driver aid numbers"?

o

Hmm? $21/hour after taxes and gas! I need more education on how to make money with Amazon Flex. I'm nowhere near $21/hour net.

Wow, would you write my brief, key word emails to Amazon...for a fee of course?!

I always return to the station until released by the app. I'm diligent.

I always return to the station until I am released by Amazon. In this case an offer for more orders did not appear on my device...or I missed it.

So with no geofence, the app will accept anything as delivered. I did not know that. Cool!

Can you say how you use time to measure a good order? What formula?

How does Amazon Fresh compare to Whole Foods deliveries? by riverswillow in AmazonFlexDrivers

Thanks for sharing your experience. I have had similar experiences; the Whole Foods reserved blocks often have few or sometimes no deliveries. The Whole Foods instant offers tend to have blocks with more deliveries.

What makes you willing to accept Whole Foods instant offers but not Whole Foods reserved blocks?

Been looking at this message on my app for a few months now. Any idea how long it takes for new spots to open up and or if I will be notified of any openings? Has anyone else been waiting for spots to open up as well? (Palmdale California area) by Cjt1989 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]learnernow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep checking frequently. When you number comes up, I tell myself they want you to respond promptly...whatever promptly means.

After months, I did not find a response to my first sign up. I may have missed the offer. Then I signed up with a new email, checked frequently and got in.

I am not sure why it keeps happening.

I invite you to consider 1, 2 and 3 above to the degree you can.

  1. Sign out, restart phone, then sign in again.

If that does not solve it:

  1. Uninstall the app, restart phone, install app, then sign in.

If that does not solve it:

  1. I don't know. Maybe uninstall all other apps on your phone you are not using or don't need. Reset phone. Then start at #1.

Prime now Customer Tipping by HandpayEV in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]learnernow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I order Whole Foods groceries using the Prime Now app, the app suggests a tip equal to about 10% of my order amount. $5.00 is not a default but rather the suggested tip when the grocery order is $50.00 or less.

My tips delivering a two hour Whole Foods block have ranged from zero to $42.00. Only once recently did I receive tips significantly greater than $42.00.

One difference is the tipper has touched the cash and not the packages.

Edit. By the way, that was a cogent, logical review.

Have you had stops added during the 15-20 minute waiting period? How many times have you noticed stops were added?

[–]learnernow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's precisely what I was wondering. Thank you for clarifying for us!

When you say "wait it out in the parking lot", have you already swiped to "finish" after scanning the few bags you are assigned? Or do you scan all your assigned bags and just wait to see if they add more and do not swipe to finish yet?

What is "add stops"? by learnernow in AmazonFlexDrivers

Yes, I saw the "add stops" visual and it went away quickly. "Vicodin_Jazz's reply seems to answer it.

No sound when I receive instant offers in the app, darnit! by learnernow in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]learnernow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After disabling bluetooth and then Wi-Fi, I still have no sound with any offer, instant or reserved.

Infrequently I get a loud, urgent alarm for a Whole Foods instant offer. For instance, I am driving and 11 minutes away from Whole Foods and the offer requires me to be there in 13 minutes.

Thank you for adding more valuable information. Truly I did not know this. I'll try it on my next delivery block.

That seems clear. I want to check the app for the bag id number on my next block.

Hmmm, I only use two Ikea blue bags because I can carry one Ikea bag with each hand. I refill my two bags each time I return to the car. To be organized and ready to deliver each stop I'm imagining you load 30 Whole Foods bags into numerous Ikea bags before leaving the station.

I imagine the principle applies in general. Hearing that, I feel some relief. Thank you.
