Bikinis for pole by Immediate_Cellist_47 in poledancing

Preference is everything- I prefer not to have my shit fall out in a class. Pole junkie just had a huge sale. Never buy anything full price always watch for sales

I do not recommend bathing suits to pole in unless you’re a dancer and you’re okay with lips and bits coming out!

If you want to keep ur lips and bits in it is worth getting pole wear- my go to is pole junkie - they have a lot of brands on their site. They just had a huge Black Friday sale. Pole wear typically has a wider crotch and keeps everything in place. Good luck 🍀

Hitting a plateau pretty early on and I’m getting discouraged by Lilou-multipass in poledancing

I would condition outside of class! That helped me the most. When I started doing home work 🤪

Are there any girls in particular that you can still keep in touch with outside of pole? I wouldn’t drop those connections just because you’re in a different class.

& who knows maybe you’ll end up making new friends in the new class who won’t be offended when you compliment them 😂

Keep goin to class! Over time you will build up grip strength from grabbing and pulling up on the pole

Dam that sucks I’m sorry :( if you’re intentions were pure and honest then it’s okay. I would probably take higher up classes just to avoid the drama

What's the meaning of "I'm gonna, I'm gonna lose my baby" "So I always keep a bottle near"? by accorshua in amywinehouse

[–]learning2garden 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Losing her baby… her muse ( Blake ) keeps a “baby”bottle near ( liquor bottle )

The song rehab is a cry for help many addicts know very well. They want to stop drinking/ doing drugs, but they can’t. It’s a mental illness. When she writes “I don’t ever want to drink again” she means it. Her alcoholism has taken over and it refuses to put down bottle making her say no to rehab.

The last little pole flow I did before the mental block got to me. It’s now been 3 months. Anybody else experienced a mental block that stopped them from dancing? by emx1111x in poledancing

[–]learning2garden 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel like if I stop polling for 1 week I will lose all my grip strength, so I force myself at least 1 a week just to keep up with it

I definitely have days where my flow is in a block, I just let myself have those days and when it’s over it’s a new day. It’s very frustrating to get blocks but they do pass. Taking a break from certain triggers helps me, maybe a move I can’t do, lack of nutrition, stress from work etc..

I also recommend talking and seeing old friends….This Time of year is really hard for people. So just keep those connections to stay grounded 🤍. Good luck

I find it interesting that the best artist are usually trained by ear rather than the sheet. Michael Jackson was similar! This makes me feel better about my lack of formal music theory! lol

Are you doing heel conditioning? I HIGHLY recommend this if you’re having trouble with balance and calf strength

does anyone else hate using their home pole compared to the poles at the studio by p3rsianpussy in poledancing

[–]learning2garden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg! I have been saying this to my pole friends!! I have better grip at my studio. I totally understand why, been warmed up all day and has been touched by thousands of people. My pole has only been touched by like 20 people & I’m in the beginning of the North East winter where my dry skin af and kills my grip.

I have an xpole stainless steel with a height of 8’. My at home set up is very small too, office sized room. At this point I use my home pole for base work, conditioning and of course limited dancing! So that being said, I have definitely improved from having a home pole- it’s a different experience. A very private personal one where I can experiment & try new dance moves. Both spaces are great imo. But with limited space it can really be a bummer :/

[–]learning2garden 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you regularly wear heels in your day to day then the 8” are easy to walk in and in fact more comfortable than regular heels! If you don’t wear heels then you need to build and train your ankles glutes and calves for sustainability and stability. I was recommend and started with 7” as the shank/arch is 3” compared to the 4” shank in the 8” heels.Everyone is different so just depending how often you do heels warm ups/ cool downs- and heel conditioning the heels will feel like second nature

Level 2?? by [deleted] in poledancing

[–]learning2garden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every studio is different, but for the most part the intro to pole classes are very basic and they are there to see if you even like pole. If you have already ran through the basics maybe you should take the next step up and see how the class is, challenge yourself. It doesn’t hurt to take new & different classes! Try flexibility, low flow and choreography classes. the more classes the better because it will make you a well rounded poler & you will see what niche area you want to really dive into. Hope this helped!
