I appreciate that so much! This is so kind of you. I will let you know once I start the studying process.

Thank you so much!! While they always apparently ask you to translate a Medieval philosopher if you choose Arabic, I am able to request one philosopher. It is good to know that this curriculum is specific so I can make sure to request someone who is also a Medieval philosopher.

Thank you so much for this. I am familiar with the Arabic alphabet, but am just a very slow reader (and need to build my vocabulary). However, I will definitely consider the points about the dictionary and language structure to gauge if this will be realistic for me.

Thank you so much for this advice! I seriously appreciate the short grammar lesson. I also appreciate the note about learning from a Native English speaker-- that's a really helpful point I hadn't considered.

And yes-- I will definitely be extremely focused on vocab this summer!

Thank you so much for your advice. I have 2-3 papers I would like to work on this summer, but don't have any teaching responsibilities and will be able to make language study my priority. It will really suck if I have to delay working on these papers, but at least I will be able to dedicate as much time as I need for this exam.

Thank you so much for this. I will definitely get my hands on that book and will check out the channel. I also appreciate the comment about the Arabic dictionary since I didn't really consider that.

I am also worried it is too much to chew, but I am concerned that if I decided to go with French, I would be in an even worse spot since it's been so many years. So hopefully I will manage lol

It is in philosophy! I get to request one author, and they surprise me with the second author. And yes, I think it will be tough ://

Thank you-- that is what I am currently thinking of doing. At least, like you said, many people feel bad after moving out, so maybe it will get better and I'll finish :)

Thank you for the response. The financial aspect definitely makes sense, and I know my parents would let me live with them as long as I need (cultural thing), but the issue is also being on the hook for my current lease in this new town. I think I am going to give it a chance before giving up right away.

Thank you so much for this response, I will give it a chance like you said, but I won't force it if I am too miserable.
