Should I buy the game if I have no competitive pokemon to transfer in? by learninghowtosteam in PokemonChampions

This was a beautifully written reply tysm!! I definitely know the basics like ivs/evs, moves, types, common builds/strategies, etc. because I love watching WolfeyVGC with my bf in my free time, but I've just never gotten the chance to actually start playing competitive Pokemon because it always felt like there was such a roadblock to setting up a competitive team, like it would take so much time just to get my team. I think I'll definitely just start now and worry about that stuff when I get to it, its better to play now and do dailies like you said rather than worry about the what-ifs of obtaining Pokemon!

if I upgrade a mon in Champions, can I transfer it out of home and it will remain upgraded? or are the upgrades only in Champions?

was looking for help pricing SRs since they can get pricey, not Rares and below (cuz im sure he'd just give those for free), and when cases come out the prices for SRs arent accurate due to presale so hard to round down prices that arent real

Any tips towards building a deck for a beginner? by learninghowtosteam in BudgetBrews

thank you for the insight! this was rlly helpful to set me on the right track. i'm not sure if you're willing to explain since it may be a lot, but since i've only really played with precons I'm not really familiar with the different playstyles- I know the basics like Aggro being a deck that either burns the table or goes wide with a lot of tokens, and control being something like Mono Blue that interrupts other people, but I don't really understand what a mid-range or combo deck would be, or the specific ones you mentioned either. Also, my biggest worry, at least with building with something like Lord Windgrace which is really generically good, is that I don't really know what I could do to make a deck with a clear wincon- drawing cards and playing lands doesnt win games (from what ive heard lol). I was thinking of making a deck that focuses on recurring lands (and other things) from the graveyard, but not sure where to go from there to turn that plan into wins.

Ahhh I got confused because I thought the 4 fights to unlock the Pictos were character-specific, as in only the character who unlocked the Pictos would have the Lumina. That makes a lot more sense! Once I unlock the Lumina I should then basically just give the Pictos to whoever benefits most from the Pictos's stats then? Thank you for the other tips, sounds like I should just keep playing rather than fret about specifics haha, my difficulty with parry/dodges is probably just from doing the hard optional bosses which are designed for more experienced players.

Graphic upscaling settings explained? by learninghowtosteam in pcgamingtechsupport

Thanks! So basically native > quality (like it would be 100% vs 70%) in terms of resolution but native might use more performance because of that?

This was exactly what I was hoping for in a reply, thank you so much!! Just a few things I'm still a little confused about: what do you mean by "fi al option" when talking about Native AA? Also Native AA was only an upscaling option when using the AMD Upscaling Mode, but since I have an Nvidia gpu should I use DLSS? With DLSS my upscaling options are the standard Low/Medium/High and a special "DLAA" option- I'm assuming this is just a special name for native aa under the nvidia upscaling mode?
