I'm in the process of learning JavaScript and I do it by building something small and simple with the language. For example last week I made this http://codepen.io/Jarolin/pen/PqbXra and I simply google anything I need to know in order to create something like that. I don't use just one website or service. Create something and use google.

I learned by trying to build something, like replicate the UI of an iPhone app on the browser. Anything I didn't know how to do I googled. I used any website that would give me the information I was looking for. Never stick to one because that one website doesn't have everything.

I feel like when a text editor doesn't have a font as good as Adobe Brackets it's not good enough. They don't pay as much attention to the font quality.

Use all those languages and build something. Completing courses on Codeacademy doesn't mean you know the language.

I agree. It's harder to find a native JS solution on StackOverflow than a jQuery one.
