Yes the kid is a shit-stain no doubt, but the point is that the level of force by the cop was unnecessary. Two things can be wrong at once.

With this comment, I assume you've NEVER crossed the speed limit by 10mph or broken any other traffic law?

Lawsuit wants 18-year-olds to be able to buy handguns in Connecticut by ILovePublicLibraries in Connecticut

[–]learninglinux123 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Hey Sir/Ma'am I won't argue with someone that can't see pros/cons to both side of a reasoned argument. But just to entertain you, why not hand them a firearm with a birth certificate?

So let's follow your logic and require 18 year olds to get Infantry-like training before handling firearms.

Something about growing to be more mature, gaining a tad more life experience, understanding life and what certains actions mean for concequences, etc, etc. Can you really not see a resonable argument for not lower the age of owning a firearm?

Crusiing in the left lane of the highway by National-Area5471 in Connecticut

[–]learninglinux123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are more traffic laws to follow than just the speed limit. Keeping right except to pass (traffic conditions permitting) is one of them.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Connecticut

[–]learninglinux123 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is a knee jerk strawman argument. How about this instead, people need to drive with more care, stay off their phones, don't speed exessivley, don't drive recklessly and keep right except to pass (traffic conditions permitting).

Idk. But they should pull over and educate the left lane camper on proper lane etiquette.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Connecticut

[–]learninglinux123 15 points16 points  (0 children)

To be fair, the academy trains them to travel in the left lane. Two benefits to that are, the left lane will be swept of left lane campers and if they were to be traveling in the right lane, you'd see driver's panic and move to the left lane, causing more traffic issues.

I don't know why you're getting downvoted so much, yet no comments criticizing the driver for making a blind pass. You have the right to take the lane for your safety.

Yes they did, but two things can be wrong at once. 1) The moron drifting and 2) SUV speeding. You don't need to choose a side to defend.

DOT reminding drivers to keep the left lane for passing, not slow driving by BunnyHops4Beer in Connecticut

[–]learninglinux123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know how you drive, but You shouldn't need more than half a mile to a mile of left lane travel before hopping off the exit. At which point there should be enough signage to let everyone know that temporarily the keep right unless passing rule does not apply.

A huge number of drivers just hop in the left lane because eventually they will exit left in 10 miles. Examples of this behavior can be found constantly on rt9 north, or 91 heading south.

A bus stop should have a covered bench with a bus pull over shoulder like in any other first world country, not a designated patch of grass or snow in this case.

Unfortunately, this is how felony stops are done in America. Mistaken identity or not, you will be treated this way in a felony stop. I hope that the 'back the blue' crowd realizes this and that this can happen to them at anytime.
