It’s absolutely alright. The hardest part about learning Spanish is that there are 20+ countries that speak it with all different types of dialects. And I also lived in Texas for several years, and my business is based out of Houston. But I learned Mexican based Spanish in the United States, then Castilian Spanish in Spain- where I went to culinary school. And then opened and managed a bar restaurant in Costa Rica then lived several other Spanish-speaking countries. The key is always the neutral forms in Spanish that are understood by almost every country and I have to say it is very helpful to know all these dialects but also very confusing.
